Life after Sivaji

Sivaji was out of my system after the response I had for all of you collectively. But I had underestimated like I seem to be doing consistently, the power of both Rajnikanth and the internet.

There is one consistent argument that many of you have put forward - and that is, that a personal opinion or blog needs to be posted on a totally personal blog site. I have mixed feelings on this one and so am bowing down to the feedback.

From now anyone who wants to know what I think about anything can go to Anuradha SenGupta's blog.

Let me warn you it may not be worth your while and my posts can be quite erratic. I write only when I am really moved to.

I am going to be gracious and let you have the last word.

If you want to know how I feel about that you know where to go. :)

At the very outset, I will have to thank you for this candid and audacious review of Shivaji. Rajini's movies does not
deserve to be watched on theatres. In fact, the last movie of his I ever saw on theater was more than 12 yrs ago
and I don't regret the decision as of today.
Unfortunately, for the most part his fans tend to equate Rajini the person and Rajini the Actor and this includes the so called educated one's such as MBA's, Engineers etc.. Even an open minded and constructive criticism of his movies would lead to an emotional outburst from his fans and this is what you have been experiencing.
Ever since he achieved superstardom, there isn't a single movie where one can identify with the character that is supposed to
be potrayed on screen. I recently read that his fans had intimated the director of an upcoming movie of his by forcing the director to potray Rajini the way they like to see him on screen. This being the case, how do you expect to see quality movies from him.

Even the media is extremely biased when it comes to review of his movies and never highlight some of the trash that is being
displayed in every other movie of his.

Once again kudos for reviewing the movie from a rational perspective.keep up the good work.

Guys I am not anti rajini or a north indian. I hail from chennai and speak tamil, but am forced to acknowledge the truth. ...Reply

Hello Sree,
Seriously can't make out if you're being sarcastic or something... If we were to do a poll then probably all the arjun rampals and milind soman types would win the votes I guess. But if you looked for charisma... Rajini wins top slot hands down dude.. ...Reply
