Every time our leaders bring down d democratic system to a new low ... every time d politicians yield to money and power .. i ask my self .. are we there yet ..... have we atlast hit d bottom. But then again reality hits me in d face and i am reminded that there's nothing like bottom in the lows of indian politics. Previously horse trading used to be a hush hush affair , now it happens in the broad day light .. someone's asking favours for their coorporate friends, someone is asking for ministry with high earning potential, money is flowing all around. No one wants to miss d bus ... negotiating hard n trying to cash as much as they can. Its high time to we d people fo the country do something to stop it.
I can't really express the anger and frustation which is building inside me for the last week. If you were unfortunate like me to watch the proceedings of the lower house , you would know what i am talking about. The debate has become a personal affair. Everyone(with v v few exceptions) made personal attaks on the people on d other side. I was a depressing and painful experience. Where are we heading to... where does this path leads us.... for god sake those people are there to lead us , represent common people, to do something for d country. Instead their main concern seems to be d balances in there bank accounts, somehow hold on to their portfolios "by hook or by crook". Whether this govt. remains or fall (.. god know i want d govt. to complete its full term even though i dont support INC as i am a bit baised towards d so called saffron party) the house has to get a fresh mandate in next year or so.
So then i think are we there yet ..... and in my opinion this is the question of the hour , When the goon-ism in d indian politics is going to end, honnestly i don't have an answer. and i hope the people of this great country to provide me with the answer when they press the button in the next general elections.
i want to say 'god help india' .................
but
its we who have to help ourselves.
