It's one thing to follow a story, and it's completely another to follow the rushing, gaping, tumbling, oscillating, almost annihiliating hysteria of a star-crazed crowd. Don't get me wrong. More often than not, I like my job. Standing endlessly in front of celebrity abodes in breezy Mumbai localities, where the only cars that pass by are huge and glitzy, isn't a problem with me. But Salman Khan's homecoming after his latest Jodhpur incarceration did put a unappetising taste in my mouth, and listless thoughts in my head. Perhaps,I am not alone. The families of IBN team members - cameraperson Anil Shetty and reporter Nishat Shamshi are probably, too, shaking their heads at the inane reason behind their injuries, Anil underwent a minor operation and Nishat broke an arm - might have just realised what hit them. They weren't the only ones though. A Times of India photographer, too, was seen thrown up in the air from his grounded bike. Thankfully, the rest in the media...
