Done with Dhoni

Jara has become a good friend. Why wouldn't he? I am always generous with him. I feed him well and even spare my bourbon biscuits for him. The continuous bribing has shown its effect. Now whenever he sees...

Vikash Prabodh Well that was intresting. It is really very disheratning to know that the values are dying do quickly. but please try and understand what that poor chap can do. every day when he wakes up he can see people peeping into his privacy. could u please tell me that before dhoni made big how many of u where there to look at the exteriors of that house. i can bet none of u. so see it is a common trend now a days that if someone makes big media is always there to make there life a mess after that moment. please do not take it otherwise but even celebraties have rights to live and rome around freely.
But anyways thanks for enhancing my GK:
Few good things to know.

sandip I wish you could have tried to find out why Mr. Pan Singh has distanced himself with the media fraternity. Did you know Mr. Prabhakar that some of your esteemed colleagues were involved in ransacking the Dhoni's under construction house, just for a good byte. A Local Daily has reported this. His effigy were burnt and house was stoned just to make a good frame for a photographer. Even a PIL was filed against Dhoni's swimming pool allegedly on the behest of some so called journalist. I am neither his CHAMCHA nor his spokesman but in this marvellous satirical piece you must have come up with the whole picture. Values are still there. You have seen only one PAHLU OF THE SIKKA.

LVISS The fault doesnt lie with Dhoni though. Evrybody likes some publicity and adulation.IN India there is too much publicity and adulation. After some time the same adulation and publicity becomes nuisance when they rob the privacy completely from their life. Dhoni shd have been treated as a cricketer and allowed to enjoy his privacy. As I said in the beginning the fault doesnt lie with Dhoni.

Max Get some Life guys,It's the media which has started covering up these sort of stories. Don't you think you have better things to cover then what Dhoni's Aunti thinks about?? And i don't think people demand to see or hear all these stories. Channels like Aaj Tak & Star News are nothing but televised version of Manohar Kahaniyan. It's a really waste of talent for the journo's, i really feel sorry for them

sunandan Why does the indian media give so much importance to cricketers.Isnt it enough if they interview them when they play. iam sure the australian media wont run behind ponting like this even though cricket is very passionate to australians.

GIRISH SHARMA The celebrity status to these newly born cricketers has been given by the media only to make news for their channels /columns.With the advent of the IPL,they are on the top list of the popularity chart. They can be seen at all the places/events ,which, once upon a time was the monoply of film stars and the Page 3 occupants.
Some of these people stay grounded with the celebrity status, for others(a la Bhajji) it gives a kick which costs them dearly.
But all this is conected with the performance on the field. This can be seen from the downfall of Viru and Yuvi, whereas Dada has maintained his status inspite of the 'love and affection'shown by the media.
Dear,we should also enjoy their newly acquired status ,since they also bring honours to our country in the world sports.

Anupam Srivastava Very witty and a dlight to read. Star-chasing is a difficult part of being a journalist and Prabhakar has captured this extremely well.

Sanjeev Singh I think the best idea would be to cover these celebraties only when they are in the playing field, and for what they should get a coverage. Once they come out of the stadium they should be left alone just like any other person. If all you journalists and your bosses tacitly agree to this, life would become much easier for you as well as for others, including these celebraties. Who knows, may be one day, even these people feel starved of the attention and come out themselves for an interview etc........
