With the January transfer window soon approaching, clubs scouts have already started submitting their reports to various football managers across the world. With each passing day, top players are being linked to some of the biggest European clubs.
Here are few players and rumours to watch out for over the January transfer window.
Radamel Falcao (Atletico Madrid) to Chelsea or Manchester City: This could be the biggest signing of them all, with a fee worth 50 million pounds believed to be on offering from EPL giants Chelsea to Atletico Madrid. Falcao is quickly establishing himself as one of the top strikers in the game and Chelsea will be desperate to seal his signature ahead of Manchester City, seeing how they are fed up of with a struggling Fernando Torres. The biggest gainers on this one will surely be Atletico Madrid.
Klass Jun Huntelaar (Schalke) to Liverpool: Dubbed as the new Ruud van Nistelrooy, Dutch international Klass Jun Huntelaar has been heavily linked to struggling English giants
Liverpool. The 18-time EPL champions are short of striking options and they need a real poacher to share the burden with Luis Suarez. Huntelaar is yet to agree to terms with a new contract at Schalke and a fee of around 15 million pounds could influence his decision.
Fernando Llorente (Athletic Bilbao) to Arsenal or Juventus: Juventus have a slight advantage on Arsenal here. The Serie A champions are desperate to get all an all-out striker and Llorente perfectly suits the bill. He has already made it clear that we wants to leave the Spanish team for new challenges, and with only six months remaining in his current contract a fee of 10 million pounds should be enough to prize him away. Arsenal, on the other hand, are still looking to find Robin van Persie's replacement are also keeping tabs on the situation.
Theo Walcott (Arsenal) to Liverpool, Man City or Man United: It is difficult to imagine
a transfer window with no Arsenal player involved in it. After selling star players such as Samir Nasri, Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie over the last two seasons, Walcott is the latest star being linked away from the club. A new contract has not been agreed upon between the two parties, and as a result, Walcott could walk over the winter transfer window, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City all believed to be interested in making a deal for the 23-year-old.
Nani (Manchester United) to Juventus: Manchester United winger Nani is reportedly set to leave Old Trafford this winter after a number of poor performances and a fall-out with Sir Alex Ferguson. The Portuguese winger has struggled for form and game-time behind the likes of Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young and could depart over the transfer window for 15 million pounds. Juventus have been heavily linked to the winger in the past.
James Rodriguez (Porto) to Manchester United: With Nani certain to leave the Red Devils, Ferguson wants Rodriguez to replace him on the wings. With reports saying that
Man United scouts have seen Rodriguez seven times this season, it is just a matter of time before they land their dream player. But Porto have been so far reluctant to sell the star winger for anything below 35 million pounds, which Ferguson is unlikely to pay.
