So Mr. Bucknor is a goner, what about Mr. Benson? I would say he played an equally important role and in fact committed a glaring shameless act of asking Ponting about his opinion for the catch. Thus, he should be packed to England without much ado. Bucknor has been the nemesis for India for quite a long time but the impact Benson has made in India's defeat is huge. I would thus ask the impotent men of BCCI to not just be happy on Bucknor's ouster as it is just a face saving act from ICC. They have to push for more and if they want to win back every Indian's trust they better show that they are "real" men. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that they are more concerned about the compensation they will have to give Cricket Australia for abandoning the tour. More so, Mr. Politician Pawar is more concerned about his impending coronation as the ICC President. And above all they have to sign the Australian players for the IPL. So all in all the BCCI (I wish I had some funny acronym for them) is a spineless, greedy governing body led by an ever greed set of people.
I was extremely happy to see Kumble being candid about his comments. He now needs support from the BCCI to back it up with. It is not only about umpiring. It is about gamesmanship and honesty. Australia lacked both. Worse, Ponting had the guts to speak rudely to an Indian journalist and suggest him to "not be standing here". Where is the Indian media now? They should protest against this act of Ponting's. This is where we lack. We should make sure Ponting apologizes to the Indian media for his outburst. Let us return in the same coin. Also, Indian media has done a very good job in projecting the incident. Make no mistake Australian media is and will support their team to the hilt and hence, we should continue in the same vein.
Indians and racists? Boy...think again..we never ever did anything when the destroyer Greg Chapel showed his middle finger to the crowd, we have been famous for being great hosts and we are termed as racists? Australians are biggest racists in the world. Monty Panesar was mistreated by the Australian crowd. Infamous for his comments, McGrath once called Jayasurya 'BLACK monkey" (I guess he used "black" to distinguish between someone from his team from Jayasurya), Slater who is supporting the racial case went straight to Dravid in India and spoke some really pleasing words and they talk about racism? And more importantly, how does monkey associate with race and ethnic origin? Are aboriginals basically monkeys? I don't think so. In that sense, I guess Australians should be first charged of racial abuse to her own player as they know the reason why Mr. Symonds is being labeled as a monkey. So maybe they call Australian aboriginals as "monkeys".
Australians are also the biggest losers. They just can't take defeat happily. They cried foul when England defeated then in the Ashes. They also showed that in the T20 WC. And if anyone had watched the game in US which broadcasts matches with Aussie commentators, their comments are appalling. Bill Lawry termed T20 as kinder garden stuff. OK. So why did your top players participate in that tournament? Why couldn't they like our Big 3 decide not to play? Now that they have lost they consider it unimportant in their resume. During the ongoing test match whenever advertisement came for the KFC T20 match at Melbourne on February 1, I never heard Aussie commentators mentioning India as the "World Champions". It says all about their disgusting losing attitude.
Finally, I request our ex-cricketers to stop being "politically correct". I do not understand how will it be a shame for Indian team and the Indian nation if we pull out from the tour? And if monkey is termed as an insult to the race and ethnicity, what does "bas***d" refer to? It is more heinous as it casts doubt on your parents? And so if Bhajji has been banned just on Clarke's and Hayden's testimony, in the same token, Hogg should be shown the door as well, infact shut the doors.
As of now, let us all back up our players and wait for our toothless BCCI to act sternly.
Vande Mataram.

ReplyQn: Why Australia is a poor T20 team.Ans: They don't get time to sledge in the faster version.ps: The verbal shit they dish out is their motivating diet. ...
ReplyPlaying agressive like Steve Waugh terms sledging, abusing as 'mental disintegration' of the opposition? Man, these are the ways of cowards. Win a game by killing the very game ..so that you can celebrate pouring beer on each other? Ponting , Steve Waugh, McGrath, Warne, Greg C., ...just look at the attitude of these greats from a so-called sporting nation ,...the guys who wear baggy caps as national pride and speak with a forked toungue while on job. Worst some CA bloke suggested that all this is fine because it is test cricket. Two great cricketing nations, down-under they are corrupt sportsmen and here in India we suffer corrupt politicians. The Sydney fracas is only a reflection of too many corrupt people in the circus of cricket. ...
ReplyHi Pls stop blaming umpires or someone else for losing..Indians are famous and specialist in giving reasons for losing the match..They show aggressiveness while speaking and not while playing. If show half of the aggressiveness while playing they would have won many matches for India. Stop giving reasons and playing aggressively..Attacking is the best way of defending. Try to attack and stop playing very cautious cricket..Couple of decisions may be wrong while india were batting but they couldnt survive a day with world class players in their side it is shame..Try to stop giving reasons and start playing good cricket. ...
