So, the Yatra man is at it again - doing what he knows best. Crisscrossing the length and breadth of the country in an air-conditioned bus, re-modelled as a rath. But that's where the trouble begins. LK Advani today is... Read The Article
This is 100 percent true that advani ji is confused right now . the problem is inside the B.J.P. and he is trying to find its solution out side.simultaneously this is also a proven fact that in most of the cases yatraas elevates the persons in b.j.p. may it be rajnath who started NYAYA yatra to oppose the Krishnanand rai murder or advani who has done several yatras in his political carrier, but the problem is that when these yatras are highlighted then they forget the objective of yatra,Advani ji forgot the objective of Somnath yatra and rajnath too forgot the motive of Nyaya yatra.however b.j.p is in power in all those states where congress was in power before coming in to the power in central but really this is a tough time for B.J.P.and the path of prime ministership will lead throgh this yatra for advani.

Nithin
Its not a rath yatra, its a wrath yatra from somebody who is trying to resue his sinking fortunes in Indian politics.

Bechara Nitin..pls try to become a mukhiya of ur mohalla before u try to comment on advani...a former deputy prime minister...a man of steel...and a man of great ideals...everybody makes mistakes...only sonia maino and nehru-gandhi dynasty does not make mistakes...it is politics..man..not ur chocalate party...and say rising fortunes not sinking fortunes...

Well Said!!! People are always found of white skin that they forget all the mistakes they make. Remember crores of our tax money was looted by Sonia's family friend. And people have no guts to talk about that!!!.

hi Nitin, That's a real tounge in cheek comment and I may just modify the word wrath by adding an 'e' - you know where - as far as all the other comments made by Advani fans - well - fans are fans - they will blow air - when they are in the bottom the air is hot - when they are on the top the air is a cool breeze.

So Kulkarni's brief backfired! Advani, according to me, is well-past his hey-days. The rath-yatra may be yet another attempt to remain in the limelight hogging news headlines and provocating discussions on the future of BJP. Rajnath Singh though continues to be ever loyal every Advani statement. But, Bhupendra, if indeed your conversations with other BJP leaders about Advani's bleak prospects ring true, then perhaps it is time to say good-bye to the fallen hero. Wait, did he just fall of his Rath?

Dear chaudhary...did i see u fall off ur chair while writing this blog...advani at 78 is much younger than u and many other so-called doomsayers..he is a fighter...because they have never had it easy...and they know to fight...from emergency to today...and at 78 he is more fit and perfect...a yatra is thousands of year old tradition and will be used by the BJP everytime...sorry...if u dont like it nobody can help u...
( Posted by Chirag Singh on Friday , April 07, 2006 at 15:46 )
Chirag looks like you are bogged down replying to blogs, as you cannot take healthy criticism in your stride. Indeed Advani may be a fighter as you say, but does he ever win any of his fights? or can only put his own foot in his mouth by announcing a rath yatra at every drop of a hat. Staunch religious tendencies do not make a leader, but tolerance does.Yes, I suppose the yatras may be a thousand year old tradition, and I am sure his record of 6 yatras too will go down in the hisory against him name, but unfortunately it will written in bracket results 'NIL'. Like your Iron man even Uma Bharti your Iron lady goes on yatras, you know with what results. Come on grow up Chirag which world are you living in? A make believe world?

I am living in the same world u live in..i am having the same food and same water..i am breathing the same air..and my blood is as red as yours..that is what i like abt this world...it still produces different views...and that is why human race has progressed than other species on this earth...and that is also the cause of distress in this world...and as long as growing up is concerned..we all keep learning..we all keep growing up...till the last day of our lives...and all world is a make believe...our world is a make-up of our own thoughts...u see what u want to see...the pursuit of truth is what drives great minds...and just like darkness is a default condition of universe...conflict is a default condition of all species on earth...and human beings are no exception...like all animals they are also one more species on earth...so...developing perspective is a difficult process...and i can appreciate ur dissapointment at my replies...but u will have to live with it...so grow up along with me...and just as u like ur make believe world i also like mine...happy blogging...

ANNIL RANA
i feel advani should take a final yatra and stay there as he has nothing else to do to make india grow. i wish he could have done it to make people awre against corruption or on that day he walk out from parliament protesting MP's taking bribe, he seems to lost his balance as he is going for bharat raksha yatra. from whom he will save our bharat the person who created by his actions in ayodhya. aaj kal chullu bhar pani bhi nahin milta, i hope he will find one in his yatra

Mr L K Advani plans and takes out raths only when in the opposition. does it mean that he has got more free time now.

Cherian Valiyaveedu
Mr. Adavni played several jockes with the public of India, and now most of them are educated and are able to undestand the folly (nothingness) of his ideals. My request to Advani is that now he should take rest and leave the leadership to some young leaders with a unity vision of India and not a divisive menatlity. Dear leader take rest and try to do some penance for the mistakes that you commited in the past.
( Posted: Thursday , April 06, 2006 at 22:07 )
Cherian, What kind of jokes has Advani played with people of India? Other than giving a sense to Hindus that there rights are being sold to a few (many of those who don't even consider this as their own country) for a few votes. Has Congress loot in the last 50+ years okay with you??
( Posted by Neeraj on Friday , April 07, 2006 at 11:19 )
Cherian..man...u r sooo wrong...advani does not need ur advise...dear dear cherian...u seem to be so afraid of advani...really impatient to see him have a break...he will be there for the next 10 years atleast..then there will be Modi..then there will be Rajnath Singh...then there will be Uma Bharati...then there will be Pravin Togadia...where will u hide my dear friend...after one Advani there are thousands more...more yatras to disturb ur peaceful mind and environment...get used to it son...or take out a visa to the swiss alps...maybe u might get a funding from rajiv gandhi foundation...
( Posted by Chirag Singh on Friday , April 07, 2006 at 15:52 )
Mr.Cherian and whatever your surname is its not the advani who needs to take a break i reckon you should try it on yourself atleast advani isnt psudo secularist like the congress and blood sucking communists who work according to the whimps and fancies of the muslims as they happen to be there vote bank
( Posted by Shiv on Saturday , April 08, 2006 at 20:22 )
Right. Advani should have campaigned with Osama clones like Laloo Yadav. Or announced a fatwa on a cartoonist's head better still on Vande Mataram. Then he would be secular and "most of the educated people" would cheer him on.

BJP ONLY CAN TAKE SOME TOUGH STEPS IF IT CAN COME ALONE AND WIN MAJORITY BUT THE INFIGHTING AMONG THE SECOND GENERATION OF LEADERS HAS LED THE FACE DOWN.I THINK THIS YATRA TIMING IS NOT HAVING A COMPELLING MOTIVE AS IT WAS THERE AT THE TIME OF BABRI MASJID DEMOLITION.ITS JUST A YATRA OF SELF RECOGNITION.I THINK COUNTRY IS SAFE UNDER THE HANDS OF MANMOHAN AND SONIA WHERE ISSUES RELATED TO PULIC PLAYS A MAJOR ROLE RATHER THAN THE POLITICS OF SELF INTEREST AS WE ARE SEEING IN ANDHRA IN DELHI IN MAHARASHTRAWHERE DEVELOPEMENT AND ECONOMY IS TAKEN CARE OF RATHER THAN THE COMMUNALIZATION OF POLITICS

Sriram
(contd.) There are more and more examples like this which no secular media or political party can deny will divide the people and weaken the nation. But since they are generally opposed to BJP, they are also opposed to the issues they raise. It’s time people realize the dangerous game played by both political parties and media and understand who are really communal.
( Posted: Thursday , April 06, 2006 at 16:44 )
Sriram,
Appreciate for the good analyis. Completely agree with you. The media (every one including TV channels) are completely biased in there reportings and seem to be completely against BJP and its allies. When the try to do something it is critisised and if the same thing is done by BJP's opponents it is appreciated and given "Glorified coverage". You are true in your opinion.
