more Ekalavyan coverage is good. CNNIBN should keep complete neutrality

Jayaram Voted for Batsman. Are you by any chance from Mahalakshmi Layout, Bangalore? If yes, welcome aboard as you too are from my constituency. But hard luck for me because both mine and my wife name missing from the voters list.

Deepak By not voting you are in agreement with the government that is elected. Do not blame the government. If people who do not vote start talking about problems from politicians they need to be given a tight slap across the face.

ashwin As usual urban areas will register the lowest turnout of voters and among those who voted the majority will be from the lesser privileged (voting with the hope that things will improve for them with the new dispensation in the saddle - not to mention the "other" incentives that could have prompted them to exercise their franchise. Most of the great Indian middle class would have used the poll holiday (and the joy of its having come on a weekend) to go on a holiday. Only to return after the holiday and animatedly discuss the future of the country, in the confines of their drawing rooms (like as though it would make a big difference to anyone).

And thus the poll circus goes on!!!!!!!

linesh Whom will you vote for? MLAs who have made billions after comming to power. Didnt the steep rise in wealth of these corrupt politicians? do you still believe in democracy? from 3 crores to 45 crores in 4 years? and no enquiries..he he..thats democracy..and do you think your voting matters? sensible are those who didnt vote. one holiday with the family is better than to waste your time and petrol for a totally unnecessary exercise..

AJAY Nice coverage and we are enjoying the mobbile reporting and expecting more analytical coments, that we can understand the undercurrents at the time of polling. Waiting for more things.

karthik i think bangalore and its people by large are not bothered about the elections.
hardly few people were at the polling booth were i voted today.
it is time EC had records of people who vote and who do not. people who do not vote must be denied access to public utilities and officers of all govt agencies should not process requests of people who are eligible and do not vote.
there should be some kind of mechanism built to make this happen and i am sure then the turn out will be higher.

I am disappointed that Bangalore, once the intellectual capital of india, is not coming out to vote and participate.

Also, i am wondering how a press guy can openly comment on who he voted for while the elections are in progress. I see this as a breach of conduct, may be i am wrong..but i still feel his blackberry blogging should not have indicated his personal choice and the reason behind it.

Jai hind.

Karthik The coverage is good but your vote to a random independent candidate without knowing much abt him is foolish

Raghava As whole world knows that pooling is going on, in Bangaluru, in the morning i went to vote, first i confused whom to vote, one is old party almost 60years who ruled, done reasonable well, and the other local party they started well but, their were corruption charges on them, they had also ruled for some time, the other party, who were in opposition for 20 years, let us give them a chance to rule the state, just they were opposing the ruling and other party let us see what they going to do in next 5 years then we can decide which is the good party who do development works all across the state, then after that we people of karnataka know well which is the party who does a good job,
