Pushkar Dear Ma'am,

I was delighted to know that people do think in the manner that you have put your thoughts across. However I think would like to think OUT OF THE BOX (wonder whether you would agree or not). The demands made by Raj and also Mr. Devegowda are genuine cause they are the leader for their own people residing in their state. As a National leader would treat a situation from a National the former would have a state perspective to it. I have personally visited many of the factories in Maharashtra and they said that the best possible workforce to get would be from another state rather than employ locals. This helps them to apply their policies without any hindrances and the migrants who work at their factories provide less resistance as they are not unified and also fear loss of jobs as against the locals who can easily get a support if things are not favourable. Many a times wrong thoughts are spread across like employing locals would give rise to unions and would take away their profit share to which i feel the workers are a true contributor. I know you might say that i am RAJ Ideologists however give it a thought and see what happens around us all and the people working around us in day to day life. Are they all from the same territory that we are live'in, is there a short fall of talent in the local population. Why do bosses hire migrants and ask a local if he wishes to relocate? Just think about it and you would some what agree to "RAJ"

anurag It is high time Indian Govt shld bring strong Hate Laws, and any politiciand found intigating the people in name of Caste or religion shld be severely punished...........or the other alternative in to amend the constitution and bring a three party rule......Congress,BJP and Third front......all the parties shld be given choice to join either of these three parties and lose the regional identities...........People abuse Biharis, but they are the real indians they have a language(Not dialect)Mythili, but they gave up their language and adopted hindi as their main language.................

shankar Politicians want vote from Public hence speak something what public want...Reservation, Job for son of soil, banning outsiders...etc. We the bloggers are to be blamed as we critisize these politicians but never dare to go,stand in the que, vote and defeat them.

India needs a leader who can wipe all dirt and convince the poor and downtrodden to shrugg of unprogessive, opportunistic, antique and bizzare idea and help create a modern India.

Raja Good article with grave concerns regarding the present political situation of the states and its consequent much feared path to isolate oneself in the name of votes.

I would request interested people to visit those states and the concerned areas to know the real ordeal of the people of any particular State to comment on its urbaneness or modernity in terms of jobs, health care, and education of these so called poor neighbors, i.e., Tumkur and the Konkan belt.

Mumbai may be the financial capital of India with its economy being run by a mixed bag of people, Maharashtrians and nonMaharashtrians; it never made a difference all these years and not a single political party raised any voice against it before. So what happened in all these years that made them cry against it NOW and why are the people listening. What I understand is that the local population must be left out or not given equal opportunity in terms of jobs or creating wealth of their own. One must remember that a full stomach never bothers about the neighbor's dog. Same goes with Bangalore which India showcases as its IT destination. The only good thing that has happened in that place is the farmers getting great returns selling their lands to the IT industrialists. Other than that the so called local people of Tumkur probably don't find themselves sitting in the air-conditioned rooms with a five figure or sometimes six figure salary.

My question is what made the politicians seek reservation for Kannadigas and Maharastrians. Some issues simply can't be created, it has to exist. I would rather have the Journalists go for the cause rather than relate its effects. Probably then we would find the real reason and then think of ways to help them. I think in a country where 70 percent population still live in rural areas with still most of them without any electricity, boasting about being being urbane is acutely embarassing. We have miles to go before we can call ourselves truly urbane.

AR Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
