PANKAJ SINGH Dear Mr. Choubey, we must acknowledge the works of ganguly, the man deserved to open his t- shirt in the Lord's balcony. He has been the most impressive and successful captain of Indian cricket team and he pulled the team out of the match fixing episode, it was his sheer bad luck the chappel was appointed as the coach and Kiron more as the chief selector, i wonder how come a coach assumes such a power to interfere in the internal matter of the team selection and i also wonder how come people like kiron more is appointed as the post is statutory post.?

Vishwas Gautam Well Mr. Chobey, with your photographs being disblayed all over Mumbai along with other dignitaries of your esteemed channel, i expected a lot out of you. But i am sorry to say that this piece written by you is a mediocre attempt and reflects that either you have written it in quite a hurry or you are too much of Ganguly's fan that you can't think beyond him. This sort of piece looks like a school boy attempt and lacks strong arguments which could have favoured your case. I am sorry if i am sounding rude but as young journalist we look upto people like you so that we can try emulate something out of your rich experience, perhaps next time.

Arun Thank you Sir for writing a nice article. Millions of critic will say, its another Bengali who support Sourav for nothing. And those comments will pour every time there will be an article on Sourav.

Can't say what Sourav will do. But one thing is sure that he is a fighter. And remember the 'Age' is a mental state at times.

The present group Chappel and co. can keep him out for sometimes. If Sourav scores runs and gets wickets in domestic cricket, nation will behind him.

Anirban "A real hero" , that is the only way u can refer to Ganguly.Right form his debut as a 19 year old to the MAN of 33.The circumstances under which he made his debut was probably the only reason that provoked him to be such a selfless, open hearted, and a true leader.the man who changed the face of indian cricket. The irony is that among many ,the reason behind INDIA'S recent success ( Greag chapell ) came to india because of india.
His exclution is a shame to the nation. The only good thing about his exclution is that it once again proves how low we can get. This is nothing but sickining, its's dirty politics and it proves that as INDIAN we will never learn to thank our LEADER.

rajat biswas It's very sad to see that a senior player is being insulted in a very humilating way;but why?rahul and sachin
are also senior players;they also happen to have faced the
performance crises in their career, when saurav was captain;but never saurav dropped them.he gave him lots of chance to recover his form.BCCI is now the richest sporting organisation in the world, due to honourable Mr.lalit modi's marking skills."bull shit" when politics come into sports money will automatically flow.let sporting body be free from politics.even hitler smiled, but greg chappel i dought.showing "middle finger" to the indian mass is really a "CHARACTER".I am sure he must have shown it to his countrymen and specially his mother for his low profile achievements.i love rahul for being a "WALL" in TEAM INDIA.But, he shouldn't just be WALL who doesn't return back(cricket balls and favours);i want WALL to avoid profesional jealosy.sachin keeps quite, but says many things in wisper and which are much more poisionous.why he left captainship?he was never told to do so.i want to tell him that" first comes the country and then the performance."

Aditya Sahay The so-called great batting Genius Sachin Tendulkar chickened out because he couldnt bear the burden of captaincy in the 90s and then Dada stepped in. This is Sourav's team and Chappel has just been marketing it. Honestly the man should get his due for heavens sake he is still the most successful captain India has produced you cannot treat him like somebody who is seeking the berth of a twelfth man.
He chose everybody from yuvraj to kaif to zaheer and insisted that they stay in the team because he saw a spark in them .. what a great thinker and planner he is ...his agression was compararble to the mighty ausralians.
Form is temporary class is permanent..

Haris Your article, sir, talks about how great a leader Ganguly was (/is). Something we all surely acknowledge. But we have to stop gushing out our emotions and check up on the facts: His batting! He is been an under-performer - no doubt he has scored 22 great ODI centuries, and in Tests too, some more. But after setting such high standards for himself, he has gone awry. He has now become an under-performer. Had be been a slightly above-average bowler, he could still have survived, cuz its the Indian Batting Order that faces a lot of competition. No empty slot, really. So sorry Ganguly, tough luck.

But there is no doubt in anyone's mind alright - that he has been one of India's greatest cricket leader of all times, a gift to cricket!

Why do you think Sachin Tendulkar is facing such flak despite his not-so-bad average - because of the standards he has set himself; and the every-competitive Indian batting lineup!

So he is tiptoed and not being complacent, unlike Ganguly, and still surviving. But he has to carry on this mode of play to hang on, cuz he seems pretty much a goodbye cricket material now, having achieved almost everything! Another gift to cricket, to India.
