Done with Dhoni

Jara has become a good friend. Why wouldn't he? I am always generous with him. I feed him well and even spare my bourbon biscuits for him. The continuous bribing has shown its effect. Now whenever he sees...

Vidhushak !! Enchanting piece, packed with tonnes of "useful info"by which we've become immensely as wise as Einstein, Abdul Kalam, etc !! How about another one on your heroe's inner-wears ??

Vijay Hello Mr.Prabhakar,

Its nice to see such a open minded article and glad that you have accepted the fact of media being resposible for change of values. My question "dn't your boss bother you for indirectly for blaming him for the change" :) ?

Sunil Hi,

Its been really a fasinatic write up covering the life of a professional who turned pet lover,a civil engineer who can by heart tell the dimensions of the exterior walls of his subject but becuase of his profession .

I feel pitty both for you and MSD.You losing your sleep and MSD his privacy .IBN Live should change the treand of giving real public interest info and not that of Jara and the length of MSD'S hair.

Best of Luck

Contemporary Lovely. Too good! Boss, i can feel your agony and pain cos I suffer from the same problems when Dhoni is back home. Wish i were not a journalist, at least not in Ranchi or Wish Dhoni was not from Ranchi!

manish kumar this is really a true story of any individual who becomes famous. this is the problem generated by new age media and the family of the celebrity has to face them. we have seen that people have thrown stones when dhoni din't perform . so suceess make many friends but make life a bit difficult for the near and dear one's.

sumit what are you ,a sports journalist or a page three (paparazzi) journalist ?
what do you want, that every time dhoni comes to ranchi, he should spent entire day in front of camera????
dhonis family's values have not changed, but the journalistic values have changed. earlier you wanted to make a story on "small town" boys making big, and you were alone so they welcomed you. but now you want to invade his privacy by showing everything live including his morning walks.you are not alone hundred other moron journalist are there.
we dhoni fans are interested in his performance on the field not in the color of sorts he wear on morning walk.
its not that you are done with dhoni but its just opposite, dhoni is done with people like you.

Dilip Hi Prabhkar,
This is real funny. Had a good time reading this. Man your bosses need to understand that this is foolish but you can't just blame them also. We have so many star struck people who are just wasting time following the stars or wanting some gossip and contributing nothing towards the economy. Grow up people and please do something productive for our nation.

shuvo Mate, a question here. Do you really believe in what you have written? Or was it one of those reckless attempts at humour?

Journalism, and its eager bosses, has reduced news to such abysmal levels that I have almost quit reading newspapers. Though there are 24 odd pages in almost any daily worth its revenues, every page is actually Page 3. So, mathematically, the bosses can claim to have rolled out a daily with 72 pages!!!

Honestly, am a little tired looking at headlines that read something like "Amisha has a new dog" or "will Bipasha get a new hairdo" and the likes. I couldn't be any bit less bothered than I would be if a mosquito went and bit Darryn Walter who leaves down 10th street from where you turn left for God only knows where (if this gentleman and this place ever existed in the civilised maps of the world).

Fact is Amisha's dog and Bipasha's dead cells sell more than the tonnes of relevant news that could make the world a better place. However, priced at a paltry Rs 2/-, you know who your news papers will find as readers and have to align your news items accordingly.

So at the end, its economics, and economics alone, that drives my choice of still subscribing to the newspaper that I get each morning. I have, however, discovered ingenuous ways of putting these to good use. It's been long since I actually bought tissue rolls for my toilet. And my car mats remain clean these days, covered neatly by the beautiful faces (and other physical attributes) of the Amishas & Bipashas of this world...
