All the raised question are valid but moot question is this that Mayawati has given a status symbol to dalit community who were marginalized and disadvantaged group since 5000 year old civilization of India. Forget where is Mayawati living, what is wearing and eating. Today Dalit has come in the meanstream of national politices and feels their dignity with equal footing status with other cast and creed of this nation. Is it not a major development in social dynamics. This paradigmn shift in social convas is a meesage for inclusive progress and growth. Mayawati has raised the morale value of dalit community and in later on period they will automatically demand the economic and social development from their leaders. Undoubtly Mayawati has given a social empowerment to Bahujan Samaj and their development is implied in its. Donot not worry Mr.Patani from the queen living style of Mayawati one day the same dalit will thrown her out if she does not perform.Still it is the testing phase of Bahin Ji. She will perish if does not act and perform but pave the way to next dalit for becoming a Chief Minister or Prime Minister of this vast and Cast based politics of the India.

Govt of UP spends more in Ambedkar Parks than real development. I'll appreciate if Mayawati spend this 500 crore for betterment of life standard of Dalits, but it seems, that it's one of the last thing in her agenda.
When I watch such news on Television really feel pitty for Bureaucrats who have to bear BIG simle, and do all crap things for her....

In India, people who belong to the lower strata of the society, both in terms of caste and economic situation are prone to vote for politicians who talk about them irrespective of whether they do something for them or not,most of them who vote for these politicians probably are aware that their real situation on the ground shall not imporove. But they still vote for them as in their minds it uplifts their self pride.This feeling is because of years of discrimination against them. India ugently needs programmes and schemes from the Central Government to work for their primary education and awareness of their basic rights. If something is not done about this, exploitation of people of these groups will continue and more importantly , indian polity will not move in a positive direction. As a result of this voting pattern, educated people who vote in a rational manner, will b discouraged and demoralised. The aspirations of a common middle class educated indian's vote will be neutralised by bad voting in other parts of India because of these reasons. The root of the problem should be addressed, or else situation is not likely to improve.

True description of the event. I just want add some info.
Soon after the event I interviewed some people just near the statue. While the BSP workers justified their leader's action , one gardener on duty was really surprised. he said ' this is happening for the first time . So far this was done only after death. Only those people make their monuments in their life time who have no one to do this after them.''
However he was doing his duty to look after the place to earn bread for his family.
