Sundar Interesting piece of investigative journalism. But why a blog? Would have been good as a news story also.
As they say, in the world somewhere or the other man is enslaving/putting down another man and getting away with it. What to call this?
How about the Human Rights NGOs freely circulating in this country and talking nonsense? I'm sure they don't want to get killed! They may want sufficient camera coverage and press coverage and make a decent living. That's about it.
Rest of them can get tortured, jailed, killed in the Myanmars and whereever else!
Long live NGOs.

somen hey Anupam, thnx ya. n about Che Guevara picture, it's there coz he is source of inspiration for many more things. Bolly-journo is just temporary thing n Che is permanent. N may be in next few years only the permanent thing will be there in my life.

Anupam Looking at the picture of Che Guevara as your placeholder i thought to read some revoltuionary write-ups...but it's just a day in a life of bolly-journo.. but i must say you have a very good flair of writing as good as you were in college...afterall it's your source of bread!! Thanks... hope many more are coming soon.

vishal Nice pondering!!But what do you think, people watching the news of Ramanand Sagar's demise would have switched off the TV sets when fardeen's celeberation was aslo beamed across the country later in the day? Or if you were not called in to help out your friend to cover Fardeen's event you would have sat at home thinking about Ramanad Sagar??How many times while going for a nice lunch/dinner we see or come across beggers/homeless people.I dont think any of us eat less coz we saw sumone who didnt have enough to eat. Its easy to judge society or individuals without setting standards!!! Not being personal, we all do it.

Varsha hey somen..
way to go...quite liked your blog. Its quite the predicament that most entertainment reporters would face off and on...and like most things in life, you dont get too much time to pause and think.
