Is Sonia Gandhi a dictator?

Is the Congress party a dictatorial party? That's the question that has been troubling me lately. For quite some time now, Indian politics has literally found itself divided along two poles. The so-called secular brigade led by the Congress and...

Nikhil Sapre I prefer limited democracy. Not just about congress, I feel there should be only a limited democracy within parties. And at parliament level each party will play its role to make it truely democratic. Else all democratic institutions become debating societies. No work can go ahead. So let it be BJP (RSS), Congress (Gandhi Family) or Communists (politburo) - names of so called dictators in those parties written in brackets, there should be a strong leadership within each party. And each party should then fight to maintain democracy of the country at the parliamentary level.

Praveen Hegde Mr.Bupendra Cheaubey, It is "perfet" article where you have eloberated with the facts. I am also agree with you the way Congress party does its rulling. I am also of view taht it is Ms. White Cat (Sonia Gandi) who does the dictetorship, who rules the country and not me - too type Mr. Manamohan Singh.
These people like Ms(?). Ambika soni, Mr. Pranb Mukarji ( who does not won single election and only knows Kolkatta), etc have some sort of Self respect.
Even I remembered Mr. Arjun Singh was in "inner circle" before 1998 drama happened. After, 1998 Arjun Singh has been kept out and some new faces come to " inner circle"

I ahink BJP as party, and even in rulling is far superio then Congrass party, which does't have idiology of itself ( except Gandi family) and Gandhi family is not only family in our country...........God help Indai

prabu several times in this website I have posted my comments as most of the politics downfalls was happend because of congress and its supremo. As of my knowledge she is not that much bad at the time entry. After some drama like giving the PM post to Manmohan, resigning from the MP seat. Now she is having the same mentality of Indira Gandhi in 70's like a dictator. Sure this will be a problem for her personal life, congress party and ofcourse poor indians

rahul agarwal It is really sad that huge cadre based party like congress cant think of its survival but for gandhi parivar to the extent that people in congress are talking of rahul gandhi as next pm. If they are so strong fundamentally why cant they think somebody else as thier president. If i decide to join congress party i am assured that i can never be pm of the country and even if i happen to be an exception like dr. manmohan singh i will have to report to office of ceo at 10 janpath which is really tragic and says a lot about the lack of leadership in the party.

Ashish Pai At last somebody has dared to say the truth. We need more journalists like you.
Congress after it came to power as UPA has done the maximum damage to the country than what ever damage was caused by earlier administrations.
No morality and deprived of principles.
Sonia Gandhi's face shows the expression of "I am supreme!". What a pity we Indians are ruled by a foreigner who cares a damn about our country.

krantinath It is surprisingthat at least one journalist had courage to call sonia gandhi a dictator.we need India to be independant to think about these things.Congress Party will bring India under control of middle easterners and china in a very short time.Thank god for rashtriya swayam sevak sangh and Bjp .At least we have some hope of Hindu survival,Making secret deals snd destroying majority of India and bringing minority government (dictatorship)in India is the secret congress motto. It is no exaggeration.Wake up majority in India.Lets act to stop the nefarious Plan.Let god bless India help it to keep its culture as it is not contaminated by the Traitors.

anil It is indeed very sad thing to see that a personal grudge against a man can turn a lady politician to be a mean *hunter*.I am further saddened to see the efforts this Government has taken to save the legendry OTTAVIA
QUOTROCHI. CBI is silenced, all the senior ministers behave as if they are paid servants of Soniaji.God help INDIA. Are we in safe hands.......oh GOD.

Bharath I feel, the motivation for dismissing governments,be it by Congress or else, esp. in a U.P. like scenario,is to have the advantage of being 'in control' during elections!
Food for thought to the election commission!

Aminur Wow!! What a way to end a topic: (PUN INTENDED)

"So decide for yourself, who is better, the BJP, which is perceived to be communal, or the Congress which seems to be hell bent on bending the very fundamentals of our democracy and constitution"

But any way, the statement in itself, shows the pathetic condition of the "strong" democratic set up we talk of. As there exist just two national level parties too choose from. And what a choice voters have got. Choose the lesser of the two evils, based on your individual requirements. And if you can not choose between the two, their will always be media people, trying to convince you what they think, and will make you form a persistent opinion about any party.

And like you said, BJP is "perceived" as communal. Well gone are the days when perception were not reality. We have already moved to the knowledge era (in case you are missing it) and here perceptions are based on realities.

Thank you for your time, in writing such a "influencing" article.
