Very well Written Article. Looking forward more articles like this, that encapsulates the character of withering human mind that makes free association and gallops from one topic to the other with no proper reasoning.

A very well written artilce. I simply love the way you have given examples to prove your point. Also written in a simple and lucid manner. Journalists are often get carried away when they see something happening around them and thus media inspite off all the good work they have done by taking on the system on behalf of the public is losing its credibility.

Hi abhi,
Presumption is the mother of all mess ups. Breaking News the way it is presented these days will surely land people in trouble some day. Chattisgarh govt chopper went missisng and three channels broke the story: It has crashed. The chopper was found after five days and again they were breaking. This time at a new place. History being written in a great hurry buddy,

Well written and a thoughtful article ... I am one of those who is quite tired of the "breaking news" phenomenon that we see on all the news channel which in most cases is based on the fallacy that you have mentioned ...

It will be nice if you can start a series of such writings....the real journalism at work away from the theories learned at school.

It was great article sighting the correctness and the way things are done or should be done in Journalism. WHat I fail to understand these days is all the news channel there is always a breaking news even if it has nothing to do in real world and it becomes concrete. We are investing too much on the negative media or else negative India rather than really working hard on the positive sides of the life. I think crisitcs are good but as said excess of anything is bad
