I write this at my own risk. I know I invite the ire of Indian IT professionals by talking this way about their patron saint.
Kannadiga software pros, their parents, and other Infosys worshippers will call me an... Read The Article
When NRN himself denies with full dignity about this post, why all these India 360 discussion and so many immotional people sending SMS's to take part in the survey.
CNN-IBN should not press too much on this issue.

Here comes the actual reason of this mans ditrust towards Mr Murthy, that he is against a seudo secular unfounded and balatantly illogical Govt policy of Resrvation. he does not have the guts to say that plainly and is hiding it in the garb of Mr Murthy's not allowing the national Anthem to be played (Which given this man's penchant for hiding facts) is doubtful.

Hi Satish. Well said. I totally agree with you.
Even APJAK is just enjoying his position. He had a very wild vision 2020. But is he doing any good to fulfill that dream? I feel he is more than a puppet at the hands of the corrupt Goonda Politicians.

While Mr. Murthy may be a good brand ambassador for the "Rising" India, it remains to be seen whether he can represent the "Backward" Bharat as well. Actually it doesn't matter whether Mr. Murthy becomes the President or Mr. Laloo Yadav becomes the President as the Indian Democracy gives no powers to the President and the person just acts as a puppet in the hands of the government.

Funtastic! Tax exemption given to corporates would have been sufficient to improve our infrastructure. Mind you, Karnataka's rural percapita income is less than Bihar and the hyped silicon valley did not help them to improve their standard of living. A billionaire company demands tax concession and other fringe benefits from Government but does not acknowledge. Why reservation in the form of subsidy to be given to large industrial houses.?

I very well agree with the author. A (only) technocrat can at max. be an advisor and unfit to hold the First Citizen position. I even feel APJ's talent had been used better in Atomic Research than sitting in the R.Bhavan, in this postion of being just a Nominal Head. NRN can comment on public or political issues, but politics is not C/Oracle programming, you know!!

Agreed, what NRN has said (if he's quoted in the right context) leaves a bad taste in the mouth. It disturbs the image we have about him. But I wont understand when people start making a big ruckus out of this. Now people start questioning his deeds, his ideals and ethics and start accusing him of being selfish, about not having cultural sensitivity, about not doing anything for India.....and what not! How people love to bash someone up when they falter once! And as far as the topic goes, "NRN as President would be a shame", I hope to see other articles abt how our Political leaders are keeping the Indian flag flying high by what they get involved in.

That is right. I never understood why any other news paper reported this piece. I read DH, and I read this is in news paper, and when I checked for this, I couldnt find it anywhere(including IBN...) And NRN would defintiely make a poor choice for President. I am not inclined to him even before this incident, and this only emphasises the fact.
He is a pretty good business man, who shows his business as service.

Nice well written articule. eye opener. Author should be lauded for daring to call a spade a spade. Personally I rever Mr.Moorthy for what he has achieved. If the views expressed in this article are correct, guess its really time to open our eyes.
