I write this at my own risk. I know I invite the ire of Indian IT professionals by talking this way about their patron saint.
Kannadiga software pros, their parents, and other Infosys worshippers will call me an... Read The Article
Mr. Narayana Murthy is a man with a king sized ego and a huge inferiority complex. We know for a fact that he is from the NIE College at Mysore and then went on to do his MTech at IIT. But he is always portraying himself as a BTech alumnus from IIT. For the success he has achieved and the tons of money he has made, there is no need for him to misrepresent his academic status. But he still does so - goes to show the man's inferiority complex
To enlighten my reader friends, MTech's from IIT are looked down upon, by the IIT BTech's. In fact very very few BTech's from IIT ever end up in the MTech courses offered by their own IIT's.
We found it very funny when, even the last time around, there was a section of people rooting for him as President of India. A disaster, if he does get to that post.

Though The President is seen just as a rubber stamp in India, we would love to have a President who is respectable and who can respect our culture, our ethics and our National anthem!! Its so shameful to hear such words from a Corporate Leader. I think we need to remind Mr.Narayan Murthy the greatness of Indian culture for which most of the foreigners get attracted.

While one may be justified in either opposing or supportgin Narayana Murthy as the president, it is kidish in the very least to attribute it to his stance on reservations. Today, we have a sizeable section of the population covered under reservation where everything from the hosipatl bed, to school admisstion, college admission and so on is reserved for them. This has been the case for a very long time and has done nothing to change the so called miserable plight of the "downtrodden masses". It is downright stupid to suggest that reservation is the tool to set this right and even worse to use someone's views on this front to oppose candidature. Going by this, we could suggest the author to administer a questionnaire to "eligible" people and select the person whose views match his!!! Very dump and well in tune with previous blogs from this author.

Very well point on NRN's attitude towards singing the National Anthem in front of foreigners. But where does the reservation thing come into the picture? Does that mean that any political leader who is anti-reservation does not deserve a place in the Rashtrapati Bhawan? And you refer to Mulayam, who is nothing but a goon and Deva Gowda, who has done nothing but sleep in Public Meetings, as "leaders"....??? Keep up this brave face journalism Sir.

Absolutely right! Let's allow Narayana Murthy to serve his own empire as its King for some more years till his children complete their studies and take over from him! He can plan his retirement after that. President's post is a sacred one and it is not just another assignment. Please save us from such cheap comedy. I am sure some chamcha at Infy planted this question to impress the bosses and some "NRN-mantra programmed mind" came up with this output when he saw the president on the campus.
