Narayana Murthy as Prez would be a shame

I write this at my own risk. I know I invite the ire of Indian IT professionals by talking this way about their patron saint. Kannadiga software pros, their parents, and other Infosys worshippers will call me an...

Mukunda U R 100% right Mr Satish. NRN is unfit to be the president of India. A man who doesnt respect his own national anthem should not even be allowed to stay in India. He is a man who always thinks of making money. As u said he himself studied in Govt school and now he is commenting on the same negatively. He is purely money minded, and he can go to any extent to please the foreigners. He is a man with double standards. All kannadigas and indians will supprot you.

Bhushan This article was very insightful and i came to know other side of Murthy's personality. Thanks to excellent branding from Infosys' PR team, Mr murthy has been able to personify Infosys brand.
The reasoning given by Nishant about Murthy asking other IT cos to pay taxes may be appropriate one.
I feel creation of this debate is a tactic of Infy's PR team to get branding done free of cost....
I totally agree with author's opinion and no business leader should become President.A person having political background will be best suitable to handle President's responsibilities.I think Somnath Chatterjee wil not be a bad choice!!...

Girish oohoo! you said it, and i just wanted to say whatever you did to these IT guys who want him for their next president, what a lousy president he'd make!

Naveen Somashekar Kudos Satish... I totally agree with you on each and every word written by you.... NRN is not fit to be The President of our Country. I still cant speculate how a person like APJ who is the present President of India think that NRN can be a fantastic person for the post.

NRN is one another Greedy Business Man who just counts on his chicken and nothing else. Get lands at Cheaper rates, Good Roads for his offices and other relaxed norms and regulations for his company. Why... did he move to some other location when he was not give lands at cheaper rates, why is he so concerned about roads to his company.

Talks about Infrastructure in India, how many does does he stay in India, wherein most of the times he will be out of India.

He gives speeches about Indian Education level and quality rather than promoting it he sends his children to get educated in some crap country.

A Man who just counts on his Chickens is not worth being the President of India, he should be a person who thinks about masses and not about his Corporate Plans and Business needs. Hope people do realize what kind of Person should sit in that Post and exercise his powers. People like AB, NRN or any XYZ who doesnt know what Indian Constitution is or Indian Judiciary is not worth that Post.

prithvi Wonderfully written , clear cut and in black and white , could not disagree with you.

bhoopathi This is utter non sense and baseless. The audience were asked to sing along with the national anthem tune. It looks like it is being made an issue out of nothing. I saw many dignified state military events with national anthem being played just as a tune.

And NRN as a future president of India, of course, you and me can not decide. It's truely politically motivated and guided based on the individual strategies of the diverse political parties of India. So, no point in discussing. Better wait and watch.

Pramod The writer doesn't clearly mention the sources from where he got this bit of info, we just cant take whatever that is heard or said without any proper proof. I would request to stop maligning the stature of NRN with such posts. Also he has clearly stated that he is not in the race for the most honoured post of our country.

abir No doubt, I agree with u.. on NRN's disrespect for national anthem, but to some extent NRN has always been pragmatic..!

Mr. author.. i strongly oppose u.. on quota issue.. ( n infact this turns to quota debate..! )
tell me Mr. author.. i am a recent enggineering passout working in one of the best MNCs.. i know a colleauge who scored 93% in 12th, above 9 pointer in engg collge n earning more than 5lac+ annum..! ( as a fresher! )n that guy got calls from IIM in OBC quota.. does guy like this need ne reservation? this is one of the most ridiculous aspect
n d greatest irony.. what justifies this guy getting reservation.. persecution of his ancestors?? n that guy being so well off..!!!!

AK If the reported incident is true, then its shame on all Indians to get a president who does not respect our national anthem.

Hebbar Mr Satish, I am a fellow Kannadiga. Please note that, whatever the IT professinals and other kannadiga's think, I completely in agreement with you. Whether he is interested in the Prez job or not, thats a different issue. But, thinking about, Murthy being in the Prez seat itself makes me so angry. He is just a business man. I am a brahmin, but I support reservation as I know how difficlut for dalit brothers to get a good education and a job. And also, I support govt funded schools, govt sponsored scholorships, merit seats. We would not have become what we are today but for the help provided by govt. The value of Prez seat will come down if Murthy becomes one.
