I write this at my own risk. I know I invite the ire of Indian IT professionals by talking this way about their patron saint.
Kannadiga software pros, their parents, and other Infosys worshippers will call me an... Read The Article
As a Kannadiga, even I dont see any contribution to Karnataka from his vast empire. He has only borrowed lands at cheap rates & has asked all amenities with subsidy. He never cared for localites in Karnataka and same way, if he becomes President, he will convert more & more Indians as slaves to US & Europe.
He might be a achiever in his own area but he cannot be a President.

We don't consider narayana murthy as kannadiga, as his contribution to the mother land is Nil. He only Opened doors for outsiders to embark into karnataka and these outsiders have spoiled bangalore. A middle class kannadiga can never buy a site or a house in bangalore. This is all result of this Narayanamurthys broad vision. He should be thrown out of karnataka
( Posted: Tuesday , April 10, 2007 at 13:33 )
based on what are you telling that his contribution is nil?? the words you have spoken is just like that of a third class politician just talking in favour of what is there at hand at that point....

SO u kannadigas are not going to any other places except Bangalore? All these consequences r a biproducts of Globalisation.I as an Andhrite feel really sad for Mr.NRN IS not from Andhra. Why dont u pose questions releated to development to politicians of karnataka and blame Mr.Murthy.Many idiotic and chavunistic Indians take money from politicians at the time of elections and blame Mr.Murthy for the backwardness.Pity on people like u...

narayanmurthy is being made out to be the demigod of India Inc. murthy like any other IT pro is an object of over feed and insane media hype. A successful IT pro need not necessarily be a noble hearted human being having been exposed to the affluence of corporate life and effluence of capitalist greed.

People just drag reservation debate to where ever possible. What is wrong in NRN giving his views on reservation? It looks like people just write for the sake of writing. Did NRN ever agreed to become president? So why all this publicity stunts by you guys? It would be loss to us and not to NRN if we don't use him to serve the society.

No business man should become the President. He cannot see anything other than money. Ethics, culture etc will go for a toss in front of money.
( Posted: Tuesday , April 10, 2007 at 13:25 )
"Narayana Murthy as Prez would be a shame".Then who else will be fit for the post of President. You cant just site an incidence to put aside such a person. If someone says that Mr. NarayanMurthy will put aside all the ethics just for the sake of money then I should say that person is wrong because he strongly advocates the need of ethics and moral values for an individual or an organization.
It doesn't makes any sense comparing him with Mulayam singh Yadav or Lalu Yadav or any other Politician. Some guys also write that he is Just another Businessman but they all dont know that what this businessman has done to our economy and IT industry is far much better compared to what any other present politician(Who all are elected to serve the country) has done.

Boss, Running a nation is like running a business. Look at his views and what he can do to our country. No other businessman can match his views on the development of the country.

Well put..! He is just another bussinessman. There are other achievers in Bussiness and corporate world better than him. Why only NRN? He is greedy when he asks other IT companies to pay taxes as tax holiday for his company expired in recent past. He is worried about only the road that lead to his imperial seat in Bangalore (electronic city). No where else. I am confused to note what he has done for India except making money for his own corporation.
( Posted: Tuesday , April 10, 2007 at 13:25 )
well he and his company has given jobs to a few thousand if that counts.....

The column is good but somehow I STRONGLY disagree on your statement "He is worried about only the road that lead to his imperial seat in Bangalore (electronic city). No where else. I am confused to note what he has done for India except making money for his own corporation." He is NOT the one who has to TRAVEL everyday to ECity but thousand of OTHER common human being. Because of HIS effort TODAY thousand n Thousand of human being are getting their bread n butter and DONOT forget that even people who are drivers, care taken of the campus etc are also earning good and are PROUDLY living in the SOCEITY, which me and YOU have not done for the SOCEITY.

After reading this blog, I think I have to take back my words in ET of 21 August 2006 proposing his name.

You write well my friend as that would be your bread & butter or should I say passion, but given the present scene & the choice put forth. Mr.Murthy would be a hands down choice against the "AB" With ref to the other vernacular leaders extending support, I thought we as educated people and son's of the soil need to show these power brokers the door rather than toeing the line as per their whims and fancy the caste divide is their doing and they continue to do so. In the last couple of years with power changing hands amongst themselves issues and hard facts have degenrated & relegated to political manifest's to used as baits to woo vote banks and serve short sighted & selfish agendas. If not Mr. Murthy then Who!?!?!

Well, I think people here are forgetting that we do have industrialists in the Government offices. Why do we forget Naveen Jindal in this case. Infact, he has won a battle for the Tricolor and being an Indian you should not be ashamed of you patriotism. And there is no shame in singing National Anthem. NRN is not good in this case. I even feel ashamed for his statement that he has "managed" to find just 5 people from a company having strength of almost 50,000 to sing National Anthem...!!!! Looks weird
