NRN like many others in this country are overrated for things they actually do not stand for. This is due to the undue media attention and constant need the media has for stories.. to cook up and sensationalise..I hope the media becomes a bit more purposeful and look at things with a bigger perspective. For drama and soap , we will watch the serials.....please do not dramatize news and facts...if you really want to put this media created prima donnas on a pedestal , have a reference to measure their contributions to the nation ,achievements in the face of adversity , the impact of their action to our nation-- long term and short term (----i firmly believe the NRNs and Premjis are significantly contributing to erosion our nation's human capital , in the long term)and such attributes...I am not a scholar on this subject ...but have seen and read enough to understand the difference in a hype ( eg..Brad Pitt/Angelina jolie) v/s real stuff (eg..Mohammed Yunus). Please get real and report real/solid stuff...create opinions on things that matter

i dont know what do you understand by corporate culture and how well you are aware of the management hierarchy but the anthem issue is totally blasted unpropotionately because it would not have been his decision at all ..... leave that apart tell me how many contenders for the post of prez do actually remember it.. i guess none .. ask karunanidhi ...he might actually confuse it with tamil anthem .... no doubt he has some shortcomings ...and saying that people who dont know english have no future is absolutely true u might be knwing a lot of north indians coming to TN Karnatana or kerala face a lot of problem just because no 1 knows hindi ... i think now is the time when english is really compulsary atleast for basic verbal communitcation...

Hello Narmadeshwar, I guess you have not visited South India. Your comments "might be knwing a lot of north indians coming to TN Karnatana or kerala face a lot of problem just because no 1 knows hindi" appears to be childish. I can vouch for number of my friends who have come from North (Gujarat, UP, Himachal, JK etc) who were stunned to see the number of Hindi speaking ppl here and felt totally at ease during their stay in Bangalore and touring the interior places. I am sparing my bluntness on you. Get your facts right.

My friend,
You have blown a minor incident totally out of proportion. The gentleman that Murthy is, has apologised for that incident. You are becoming jingoistic. The incident is now best forgotten.
Would it not be an honour to have an incorruptible, hard working and honest person as the President of India. While you may not agree with his views, you have to admire the courage of conviction. Would you rather prefer a corrupt, incompetent & totally shameless person like some of our present day politicians instead?

hey finally the so called corporate media has woken up to the realities and showed the guts to write about Murthy. intrestingly when press questioned murthy about presidentship, he is not ruling out that he has dreams about it. he is ambitious no doubt. anyway damage is done. now whats the use of apology and saying he was misquoted. atleast from now on for a change infy try to be away from media. hope now you have learnt the lesson.

dp, whatever comments u have made regarding national anthem is issue makes sense. but i don't agree about the other critics like govt schools. u do a compare of people being success are from govt or private schools. most of the successful poeple are from private schools bcos of there quality education. NRN has studied in govt school, it doesn't mean that whatever success he achieved is bcos of that school. lacs of people studied in govt school...ok. i think i should correct ur article at this point. i do disagree wid ur article in similar points. i totally don't accept ur attitude.

I feel National Anthem issue is blown out of propotion. I dont think so NRN need to prove his Patriotism by singing National Anthem... What about the Politiicians who are singing the National Anthem from past 50 years have done for India...I want to send a clear message to Satish... You must be ashamed to write about NRN like that just for gaining your own publicity...
I will be a proud Kannadiga to see him as next President. U people cant do anything for the society and always pull legs of those people who are coming forward..
Though I myself come under OBC quota, I feel ashamed of those people who speak of caste based reservation for OBC caste section of society for deveolping India. Sir if u want us to come forward give Economical strength not a chance to grab others opportunity who deserves it.
One clear observation what i find is, People who speak against NRN are those who are hurt by his statements on reservation than National Anthem.

Adding to this, even Konkanasen Sharma, Great Actress, of Indian Cinema, refused to stand up during national anthem in one of the cinema halls in Mumbai.

when somebody claims 'AMITABH' as prez, he caught up with a controversy in his recent (ram gopal varma) film. Now its murthy's turn. ITS VERY DIFFICULT TO IMAGINE ANY PERSON IN THE PLACE WHERE Dr.ABDUL KALAM PROUDLY HOLDS!
