Narayana Murthy as Prez would be a shame

I write this at my own risk. I know I invite the ire of Indian IT professionals by talking this way about their patron saint. Kannadiga software pros, their parents, and other Infosys worshippers will call me an...

Asit dear Satish,
todays mr murthy is acting as cheif mentor of infosys and he is successful, all his action is for this role may contradict as precident role. do we all behave in same way as father and as son, defenelty no the priority changes. kindly observe his suggestion on indian cricket team SEZ issues and other ascpect of national interest, you may like to give a second thought. another point of view, pesident kalam being scientist he contributed a lot in that field in science and research, similerly we must have variety of personalities to take up office of precident to continue all round development of the country. as a businessman with high moral values who else is there other than mr. murthy.

PAMO GURNANI I think INDIA need a change of ADMINISTRATOR. Sofor all the presidents are nominted by political parties, exept to one time, are proved as stamps but if a bussiness Icon who knows the basics can prove as a good administrator and can not be manuplated easly. A good bussinessman is a good administrator itself.

Nikhil Very well said Satish. He is a good marketeer and also a very good manager but that doesnt mean that he can become President of a country like India.

regards
Nikhil

more suresh Narayana murthy is a far better choice than the political rogues like somnath chatterjees.A national anthem issue need not blown out of proportion. Are the political mafia like M'P prakash who stand in front of national flag and after that indulge in corruption. How can u proud of a country where an FIR cannot be filed by an ordinary citizen without palming the greese of officials and politicians. The media chamchas like pronoy roys and barkha dutts whose voyerustic journalism to increase viewer ratings will be only ready do mud slinging on real national heroes like narayana moorthy. The country is saved by 1 lakh crore received from software exports and growth in gdp.Not by political b------s, who want to further divide the society by reservations rather than initiating steps to open 100 iit like institutions just as CHINA did recently
Hats off to narayana moorthy for calling a spade ,
"a spade"

Dr.G.B.M. Reddy yes, he will become a good president of India, authour of this topic is more of unilateral and thinking in his own way by targeting Murthy just for national anthem issue. In murthy point of view govt. run schools as 'cow sheds' is because the condition/facilities of the schools, this is to convay message to public/political leader that they should need to improve the facilities and standard of eduacation in govt. schools.

Kishor Wadhe Does patriotic feelings and love for indian languages only make a person suitable for becoming the president? Answer to this question would of course be no, as there are other major factors which need to be taken into consideration like leadership skills, situation handelling power, transparency in the work done and the social concerns. Secondly, Is Narayan Murthy only a man who says that you will not succeed without English? If yes, why the others are following it?
Definitely, to be a part of the stage one need to show lot of courage, and not the patriotic feelings.
To recommend Murthy as a Prez next would be the added advantage but he should not forget the Govt school where he did schooling because of lack of funds for private on, He should think of poor and downtrodens.

Yashi Sinha Mr.Narayanan Murthy or anyother person otherthan one having a political backgroung is unfit for the post of presidentship. Let us take the example of our present President Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam . He would have done nation and society good by contributing in the field of science and technology. His skills and knowledge could be used to improve our Space programs which i think he was unable to do in his tenure as a president. He had no knowledge of politics and did what our leaders told him to do and One being the preseidents rule in bihar which he later regretted doing it. Mr murthy for that reason should concentrate in building india strong in IT and Science . A person's expertice should be used in the field in which he excels and I think that he is not the right person for the post of president.

Prashant I would say he will make a better president. Atleast there was some mention of national anthem. And I really doubt if all the Indians leave apart the foreigners would have even sang the anthem. If so those who desired may have have sang along. And when he says there is no future for people who are not able to read and write english then he is write on spot. With indians aspiring to take on the world the language should not be a barrier. And who cares what devegowdas, mulayams and laloos will think. By the way we have never seens national anthem being played in any of the functions being organized by these so called leaders.
We need a President who can be that honest. To some this may seem blunt.
