Is there any issue on which our politicians, our netas dont have a view? Ok lets think hard. Ummm. from water shortage to cricket matches to anything that begs a face, they have a view on everything.
But... Read The Article
When have politicians last commented on a murder trial? Politicians do comment only on issues which affect them. As a 'political junkie' you should know that Kapil Sibal stopped commenting on issues after he became a minister (except on subjects which come under his ministry) And before starting on the blog, Choubey should have visited Parliament or switched on to the Parliament channel. They indeed made an issue of the matter. Brinda Karat in particular.

Hi Bhupendra the silence of polticians on Jessica Lal's case speaks in volume about their dubious character.Had it been some one close to them ,immediately these politicians would have sprung up like a mushroom round court room or parliament to fight against injustice but not now because it might be their turn next time.It reminds me of a very young n sincere "Satyendra Dubey" the famous IITIAN who fought against system n was brutaly murdered . A lot of hue n cry was raised to nail his killers but slowly his memory faded n nothing has been found so far . I just hope that Jessica 's case does not meet same fate . The solution lies not in discussion ,rather a radical change is required in our judiciary system along with a group of young n determined Politicians who have vision far beyond their personal interest.

The point raised is entirely valid. A politician, in this country, is a calculating and selfish venture. Many of the people you have mentioned in your column have their financial and political support system, linked in some manner, with this sewage of the gutter.
Why do you think, for those in a little more know of thibngs, makes India, at times, a unlivable place. May be some day. men of conscience, shall rule this country.

Hi Bhupendra! Your article truly reflect the Indian Political System (IPS or Inherently Politicking System). Sad but true! But what is the alternative? I am game for dictatorship too if you agree to banish all the politicians from Earth!!!

Well Said. The very reason for their silence is we the people and the media is striking at the very base of their existence. Irrespective of the party. It would be difficult to find anybody in the parliament or assembly who never used the same tactic used by Manu and his dad here in this case to tame Judiciary.

When it comes to politicians all parties are belongs to same class in their act. Look how compulsion of politics prevent even so called people with clean image like President, PM from coming out and make statement even after such outrage by every section of people of India. Politicians will never take on other politicians and this we saw after UP MLAs sting operation. Nobody in UP Assembly protested. Rather politician from all parties blamed media people saying that person offering bribe is also criminal not understanding this bribe was paid to show the world the real ugly face of these politicians. But we people of India are equally be blamed as these criminals are elected by us in so called democratic way. We badly need Political Reforms to clean political system

After the sting operations It shows the another picture of our Politicians. Though they are speakless on Jesika issue but their tight tounge tell the reality behind close doors. These are the same who can intrupt the Parliament by making noise and never get fail to overcoming their political rivals on related issue but have not any single word on Jesika issue. It is clear now that by not to speak on issue they are not only supporting the criminal but to making a support for own in future.

A very good article , It seems that now a days politicians from all parties have hidden compromise to benefit each other. It is clear cut case of murder , had it been murder of rich or famous person or perons's son or daughter the scene would have been different and the culprits might have been hanged.
