Baby Kautilya Excellent article - true reflection of reality on Indian politicians.

Ulhas Shirke Very rightly said, Bhupendra. these politicians have common cause for not commenting on such issues; as they very well know, tomorrow it will be their turn. After all, this public money that they earn9 as shown in sting operations recently) is meant for their spoilt children to spend lavishly. And, when the worst time comes, it is used to buy the witnesses. So, in short, the money that is earned by unlawful means, ultimately goes into drains,; but, at the cost of an innocent life. isn't that strange? When are our politicians going to learn a lesson of 'conscience' ?

Ebad What I find interesting about the whole issue is that it took the murder of someone belonging to the glam swish set to get our journos & others concerned. Honestly, miscarraige of justice is the norm in this country & the judiciary is no exception to corruption & powerplay. But would we have heard this huge outcry if it happened to just another common Indian citizen. You would probably not even get to hear it. Over the past few years, there have been a number of burning issues affecting poeple in the hinterland, like farmers commiting suicide, etc. How is it we get to hear so little about these things.
No doubt, Jessica's murderers & their abettors need to brought to book, but honestly, once all is said & done (& hopefully justice will prevail finally) would the same poeple campaigning for her lend their voices to millions of other cases like this across the country.

KARTIK SHAH Good observation.Y don't u journalists bombard politicians with their views on this case on live tv.Please don't let the issue die.

nair The forthcoming Budget is going to push this case from the news-desks to the dustbins. The public outcry will take an abrupt stop here and in-turn it will become Jessica’s family quandary. This is the fate of any socially relevant issue in India.
Jessica...Rest In Peace!

Anjani Kumar Though politicians fight election on the ticket of different parties but their party is only one - the curroption. Birds of smae feather flock together!

S. Sredharran Agreed that, we have a good Prime Minister, but I don't agree that Shri Manmohan Singh, will do good as a true gentleman, if that is the case, he still has Mr. Laloo Prasad Yadav, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan and Shri Shibu Soren and yielded to the pressure of Shri Karunanidhi to give away the Ministry of Information and Communication to Shri Dayanidhi Maran, who himself holds the business of SUN TV Groups. He is not assertive enough to be a bold and daring Prime Minister.

So what action do we hope for Jessica Lal to get from a Prime Minister, who is held to ransom by Coalition Politics. The nation still remembers, how Shri Laloo Prasad Yadav and Shri Paswan fought for the ministry of Railways.
