Bharat Shastri Guys,
Your coverage of the Jessica Lal murder case has been good. But just tone it down a little; it looks a bit over the top when professional journalists(/anchors) talk of kicking up a social movement to defeat injustice even as they are interviewing people. Not doubt it looks sensational, but it also appears a bit too emotional. If you guys could do the same stuff you've been doing without all the hype, stirring of sentiments etc., you would have a fantastic channel. And probably less trouble with the authorities in the future too.
Cheers,
Bharat

Amar Thank God BJP and Arun Jaitly did not speak for Jessica! Otherwise you media people would have made Jessica as Hindu fundamentalist. Just because BJP is out of the loop this victim may be getting her due attention from media. What happened to Delhi blast victims when BJP cried in the house? What happened to Godhra victims when BJP cried in the house? Nothing! Victims in the Godhra were described as Hindu fundamentalist and even went on to saying they killed themselves.

Narayanan,R. Bhupen, you have written with a withering contempt that the politicians of this land so richly deserve. But age cannot wither nor custom stale their infinite chicanery,so u can rest assured that nobody would come forward or go on record against the killer brats who are ones of their very own.Head buried under sand, they will wait with certainty for the immediate impact of the scandal to pass,or some bigger scandal arise to overtake the present tragedy.Frankly, movies like INDIAN in which the hero takes the law into his own hands to punish evil doers may come to pass soner than later.

Rodney D. Ryder The speechlessness is surprising! Either no one has an idea of what to say [which has never stopped before, why should it now] or more likely - no one cares! This is an issue where no one can really pin the blame on another and perhaps one feels does not affect electoral politics...

Ashok Sawhney Very well said and very pertinent indeed when the whole nation, as such,is otherwise incensed with the outcome of the case.
Please give this fact of the Politcians, across the board from all parties, remaining silent on the issue wider publicity through your TV channels etc.
Finally, if the "System" has to be changed by the force of "Public Opinion", then that change has to encompass the Political Leadership as well. We must sensitise the masses of this fact.
Thanks for taking up this cause. you are doing great service to the Nation.

Tariq Hi
The other day I saw a write up by one gentleman called Raheel Khurshid on IBN Live. It seems that every journalist under the sun is writing about Jessica's murder to get some good reviews by the audience. Agreed that the murder was gruesome, the main witness did not act in a responsible way and of course the offenders need to be punished. But having said that I would like to ask all these news channels/ journalists inluding IBN that a lot of worse offences happen in India and definiteley a couple of them happened in this week. Four innocent children were killed by the security forces in a town called Handwara in J & K when they were playing cricket. How many of these channels took pains to report this story. Zahira Sheikh changed her statements n number of times in the Best BAkery case but she was not castigated by these newsmen for being shameless. I think these channels are doing this Jessica thing to just earn some browny points.
We are a nation full of hypocrites and the journalists might share the honors with, maybe the politicians for being the worst of them all.

Hiren Bafna Hi Bhupendra really very poited and hard hitting one, but I did read some comment of Arun Jaitley on IBN CNN news channel. Now I feel the politicians are a problem in itself and not at all a solution. If you expect anything from the central government which has Thugs, Criminals as ministers, then you are wrong. It is the political compulsions which rule and nothing else. Go and tell a politician that follow this case and you will get few thousand votes, what will be the result? No prizes for the answer. It is ultimately Democrazy not democracy.

Karan Rao You have nailed the present situation in our country whereby the politicians consider themselves above the law and represent only their party and personal gains.
