rahul sharma I agree with what Sagarika has highlighted . Mr Rahul Gandhi needs to really work hard to "earn " what he wants to achieve . Problems which India face today are extremely complex and I feel that barring a few , the quality and capability of the leaders who run our nation is a big issue .

Although , Mr Gandhi has a clear advantage over others in the sense that his voice will be heard and understood by a wider audience , but many indians like me are looking up to him to get some real talent in his party.

Satish Vinjamuri You are absolutely correct. Congress has this fixation on the Gandhi family and tends to rest too much on the past. It is better for Rahul Gandhi to create his own persona in the political space rather than always invoking the past legacy which can only take you little ahead. I think if he comes out of this fixation he will be much better accepted leader in the country.

Gaurav Great Article. Finally some one in media has woken up to the virtues of the meritocracy culture. America is one country where this thing is always applied and respected and therefore it is the foremost super power of the world. In India a filmstar's son/daughter will try to become a filmstar and a politician's son will go in politics. Sachin Pilot,Jyoti Scindia, Rahul Gandi, Tushar Kapoor are cases in point. If India has to go ahead..we have to embrace meritocracy fully..
Very Insightful article !
