Bharani A good comparison between sports and politics and an unbiased one. One thing should not be forgotten - Consistency is the mantra and we should strive to achieve it.

Sid I worked in Mumbai for a few years; Borivali is in suburban Mumbai, which is not really a small town! Suburban mumbai is largely inhabited by the "upper-middle class" types; it has malls and multiplexes every few blocks and bollywood stars are not an uncommon sight on the streets; these are areas with some of the highest real estate prices in the country; so comparing boys from Rohtak or Ranchi with those from subrbn mmumbai isn't fair as the boy from rohtak/ranchi has much lesser resources/ poorer living conditions;

MRINAL KANTI BANERJEE ONE DAYER IS CLASSIC CRICKET AND T20 IS FAST FOOD CRICKET. READY TO EAT CRICKET AND ENJOY.T20 CRICKET IS DOT.COM CRICKET. T20 IS POWER GAME AND IT IS DOMINATED BY BATSMEN AS ONE BOWLER CAN BOWL ONLY 4 OVERS AND THE GAME IS LIMITED TO 2O OVERS ONLY.

I BELIEVE THAT IT WOULD NOT BE PROPER TO COMPARE BETWEEN ONE DAYER AND T20 CRICKET.
COMPARISION SHOULD BE MADE APPLE WITH APPLE

Abdullah Bin Umar Our memory is so short-lived and emotions on our nose. We have made these players national hero today, let's see how long they retain their position in our life.

20-20 Cricket isn't real cricket. The real cricket is Test matches and 50 overs one day matches.

We are trying to wash our memories off of our minds of World Cup defeats in West Indies, we are spending too much on these Clay Lions, they would not take much time to turn into a goat soon. Still there is no harm in celebrating this hollow victory of 20-20 championship "Dil ko bahlane ko ghalib ye khayal achha hai".

Let's see these Billionaire cricketers in the series with Australia. This will bring the original lions in open.

Mukunda I completely agree it was a great match and great win. But comparing to the normal 50 over world cup and comparing it to 1983 world cup win is too rubbish and foolish and looks like these views are coming from people who dont understand cricket. I am a passionate indian supporter and we should restrict our comments to T20.

sanaa It was the best match I've ever seen in my life.A young energetic team trying to prove themselves playing for the country.Without the big names,without any descrimination of caste religion or region..just the desire to do good to win was so prominent in those boys through out the tournament.
I really hope people in the country see the underline meaning.Its time for the youth in the country to rise.The youth is the future of the country,let the youth lead India specially in politics.Have had enough of these oldies playing dirty politics for their own benefits.
Time to rise...Chak De India !!!

Priya While I am not a fan of Indian media, reading your post, I would go a bit further and say that ibnlive is perhaps the equivalent of Dhoni's devils in comparison to say an NDTV. Your stories might carry with them all the flaws of journo-entertainment but there is an element of local that is injected in the spirit of this channel and thank god for that.
This sentiment nevertheless, I think this blog post is excellent.

more Raj As Indian I am very happy that India has was the wordl cup. CNNIBM channel was there covering these memorable moments live. But one thing I noticed that Initially when they showing & interviewing people - either they were from mumbai or from north india. I think ppl from south india & north east were also celebrating in same way. Why do the channels forget that ppl from south India & northeast India are also part of India. Uthappa's & Sreesanth's family members, friends & well wishers were also celebrating...y this was not shown? Even in hyderabad there was huge celebration...where was that shown?
