The Big Political Picture

The months from April to June are described as silly season for news. Summer vacations, politicians jaunting abroad, and journalists feeling the heat, where is the story, the refrain from most editors. Summer of 2007, though has been anything but...

Amit Lift yourselves by your bootlaces, media. Must you feast on the carcass ? It is the nation being butchered, dear. You are supposed to be a pillar of democracy. Now just reduced to a mirror for the narcissists on a crumbling wall . It is your house that is falling, dear .

Srinivas Vangala I would rather have Narendra Modi as the chief minister rather than Mayawati or Rajasekhara Reddy.

Look what Congress had done to Andhra Pradesh. It has taken it back to 1970's.

I don't know if it is possible to create more damage to UP.
May be Mayawati will succeed in that.

A little bit of ethnic cleansing is long overdue. Less number of terrorists will be created in future.

Paresh Political Correctness: a Bigger Picture

Versace In India

"No cloth is beautiful if it brings hardship and suffering from people", as Mohandas K. Gandhi once wrote.

Italian people do not view Indians with the form of affection one reads in your account. Indeed for an NRI who has lived in Europe for three decades I am more familiar with the mode of relationship that Italian people have with coloured Indians. It is not an exaggeration to say that Italians consider many or most Indian men and women as "..primates" and "..monkeys". This is well-known. "No cloth is beautiful if it brings hardship and suffering from people", when one considers buying Italian goods and cloths from Italy. The signatories of the Indo-Italian Treaty, in January this year, should be familiarised with the type of society that exists in Italy in this regard.

more Arvind I don't have much to say about the points made in your post, but I must say I found your language surprisingly poor in terms of grammar, punctuation and structure. I expected far better from a journalist of your experience and prominence! I guess you wrote the post in a hurry, but a simple Grammar Check would have been nice :)

vivek singh gaur Bhupendra is very right on stating the strength of the nation which has been able to take the onslaught of these corrupt politicians.

Sudarshan I totally agree what you are trying to depict but there is no novelty in the content.
i will have to say media is Iconoclast of its own rituals when MS Mayawati win election all media pitched in for her support and coined it as a revolution in UP poilitics i dont know why this hype when she has already shown us her real inadpetness in her earlier tenure and soon we witnessed a trailor for that as she taken up the office.
I think rather than constanntly critisizing politician media should try to encourage people in choosing right person which is mother of all the probleme

A Dear Bhupendra,

U must do ur home work correctly. Was there no riots prior to Godhra in gujrath ? How many innocent people died, do u have any a/c ? Prior to red regime in WB, ask dear politician how many people died ? What happened to sikh riots and some party was behind this !
This blog is nothing but hatred towards a party and a person. We common people pay thousand in taxes for these politicians luxury and so called journalists should be without any prejudice...after all in India......Bhupendra must do proper home work...

more Sutariya As usual Bhupendra is again biased to perticular party/person.he has very good English skill though.
I want to escalate his comment about Gujarat siting mother of all battle.Fact is that he is always been seen in critising every thing.presenting every issue in negatively in all his news casting/interviews/debates.for Example there are so much development in state of Gujarat but he never mention that, instead he always kept negative mind set towards that.
Mature political writer could neve be on one side he has to be made independent analysis.

Kay Tee Though I have no issues with the content, I must say your language is atrocious. I don't know if that is usual or if this was written in haste and thus... I haven't read any of your articles before this.
In any case, when you are a journalist and when you do write in English, would it not be worth the effort to recheck your lines? I know that when you are passionate about a subject, sometimes, it is possible to make a few mistakes. I don't mean to be rude here... sorry if that was offensive..
