It was during my student days in Pune that I first came to know of Raj Thackeray. That was the time when he first started making noises against Uddhav Thackeray. And that was the first time we came to know... Read The Article
This is quite a nice blog on how a man bound to become an hero getting influenced by this wicked politics of the country.I would like to say this to all those who stabbed North Indians from Maharashtra.People its time to wake up we all are Indians wats wrong if he stays in south India or in North India it is his personal concern.Instead of pushing North Indians out kick all the Pakistanis and Bangladeshis and all other Non Indians who are illegally staying in our own Backyard.

Raj
Though I understand that some of the maharastrian people might have genuine frustration about the fact that the central and north indian states are not doing enough to retain its people and provide them with basic means of livelihood. But,one should also realize that it is not the fault of the poor "bhaiyya" on the streets of Mumbai. Isn't he himself the victim? Why don't the goons go and hit the politicians who are responsible for this situation. Some of the persons participating in this blog are even against the north Indian people who have prospered after coming to Mumbai. I would just like to ask a few questions in this context; 1. Shall all the successful Indians who went to foreign countries to seek fortunes, be beaten up, humiliated and deported back to India? 2. Shall all the maharashtrians in the silicon valley (there is a claim in all the maharashtrian household to have atleast one child in the US, either as a computer guy or as his wife)be treated similar? 3.Those who complain of losing out on opportunities, Could they show atleast 1 maharshtrian milkman who goes to deliver milk in the mumbai suburbs. 4.How many of them choose to be carpenters? All the unemployed youth misled by the politicians, if they really want could find enough oppotunities in Mumbai if they look for them. Soon after these incidents erupted in Mumbai, I started to look for some basic information on Raj Thackarey and I came across some interesting speeches he has delivered as a new comer, particularly the one held in Shivaji park in 2006 (or was it 2007?). He sounded quite sensible, yet with the same firebrand characteristics of his uncle, Shri Thackeray Sr.He talked about need for educating the youth looking at the avilable job opportunities when they graduate and so on.I feel that Raj Thackarey has himself fallen prey to the dirty game of politics and even with the right credentials or potential to represent the Maharsahtrian Youth, has failed his state and country as a whole.

Perhaps the best article on the recent media event.....It shows that how people sacrifice their principles to succeed ...even if it happens to harm the societal fabric in general..Comparing Raj's change in stance with the media ,particularly the Hindi media , who go to any extent to give the news the X-factor, is courageous. Read comments by Abhigyan & Ravi... and have to say that they too are not very different from Raj Thackeray.... sowing the seeds of hatred further in peoples minds ....claiming successes when their own states have failed miserably...Of course as a proud Maharastrian , this is not the first time that someone is saying this to Maharashtrians....I dont think we have to prove anyone our competitiveness.... ( Sachin, Madhuri, Vikram Pandit,Kirloskars, Mashelkar, Baba Amte, Dadasaheb Phalke, Ambedkar and many more) I would only like to tell people one thing...that all the so called "successful" people come to Maharashtra as ordinary citizens ...they become great after they prove themselves here..This is only due to the climate of equal opportunity and meritocracy that has always been respected by Maharashtrians... even today..the fight is only against low skilled migrants as the locals continuously have to fight against wage pressure and inflation. There is something we need to do about together....Lastly...I think we need to think as to what forces people in Bihar & UP to migrate...What are the politicians in these states doing...why are the people in these states still voting for them??? When we start thinking on these lines ,and act accordingly , may be we all can hope to live in peace..Jai Hind...Jai Maharashtra

hi I am happy to find that at least some one has understood what this politician is doing, I feel it’s the duty of the same media made him famous to undress him by explain it to that common man who don’t have any idea about Raj. One thing is clear both “Politicians & Media” know how to market them selves. When developed countries don't have problem of foreigners settling in their man land, its silly Maharashtrian's (Indians) are against their own country men (Indians) coming as their neighbor. It just proves that the Maharashtrians’s fear that they will perish as they are not competent enough to survive against the so called North Indians.

What I meant was that Raj may have gained the support of many parochial people, but all those who initially thought that he was going to create a party different from the Shiv Sena have lost faith in him and are disillusioned. This was also evidenced in the mass exodus that happened recently from the MNS back to the Shiv Sena. Those who believed he was a refined leader are no longer going to vote for him.

MUMBAI TRAIN COMMUTERS WITH THE TRAUMA THEY FACED EVERYDAY 3. DIRTY STREETS OF MUMBAI ,THE DIRTY SLUMS,MUMBAI roads are used for making the livelyhood 4. MUMBAI is capital of maharashtra ,no value for MARATHI LANGUAGE AS WELL AS THE MARATHI PEOPLE 5. EVERGROWING MARATHI UNEMPLOYED YOUTH BOTH QUALIFIED & UNQUALIFIED, i might be gramatically incorrect but am sure you have got the message. now the ruling govt of maharashtra should take some drastic steps & make the mumbai as it was in MARCH 1998. I would like to talk about the principal of politics now-a-days. Is it the same as it used to be at the time of our Freedom struggle or in the period of 1947-1970 - a selfless job, where serving people and betterment of country used to the force behind joining politics. But, now it has changed a lot. Now, politics is a job, like any other job – in fact a more lucrative and attractive job. The benefit of thy self comes foremost and serving the country comes at last (if it comes at all).As we do in any other job we do. In this scenario .What a general politician will do? Think about any normal Indian. Take yourself. If you wish to join politics . Don’t you think either you need a very hard determination a selfless motto (that is really very hard to find) or else you, yourself will follow the path you see our politicians following. I feel it is not practical and wise to expect a very fair loyal and selfless politician will emerge all of a sudden and guide us towards prosperity. The change should come from within. People should change their mindset. Why we get sentimental with these cheap issues, why country doesn’t always comes first for us. Why we are so impractical that whenever any politicians wishes he makes us fool on whatever thing he wish for. It is absurd to blame a person who always makes you fool. Rather then we should blame our self for our impractical approaches and over sentimental nature.

Its quite an insightful information about the background of the MAN in news and most importantly the tone of the narration which clearly projects the transformation of a attention & power seeking hapless person from a genuine politician as you have said into a monster.Though I personally condemn such endeavours by anyone but I do have a reflection on our current indian political structure which no doubt encourages such acts to gain what we call political mileage. Its high time that we must wake up from deep sleep and realise the true intentions of these greedy opportunistic politician which can only be done if we do justice to our electoral right by electing right candidates....But it is easier said than done
