I was not born when, as literature says, the high caste rulers oppressed, rebuked, and castigated the low caste unfortunates. That it is still prevalent in some places in India, atleast proves that the literature was not completely incorrect. However,... Read The Article
this is true what goes around , comes around.the injustice done to the oppressed & downtrodden brethren" s by our so called high caste forefathers as bounded by the sacred scriptures are being unbundled by modern scriptures like the 93rd amen mend act & it's recent balanced interpretation by s.c. having said that, i won't accept your concept of sacrification of merit & quality in the quota war. Since merit & quality is always a relative term & is not at all a real issue. the real issue is one of opportunity & level playing field.given an opportunity all good attitude people had contributed their might for the development of nation.Earlier opportunity as provided by the four southern states to their social economic weaker section population had a telling effect on the development of these states in the socioeconomic & demographic indicators & human development indicators as compared to the BIMARU states,(hindi cow belt as called by developmental economist) whose socio & political landscape is since long dominated by the upper caste.Given their rigorous acadamic programmes ,the iit's iim's are not going to lose their quality or merit, just by giving few good opportunity to this marginalized classes .

true...but if that was the case then i guess world should be plunged into anarchy....isrealis should be nuking the germans....the blacks should be killing the whites in south africa /southern states of usa(to an extent mugabe is doing it........so its a never ending story...this government is determined to send the country back to the medival age.....bad fiscal policy (suprising considering we have oxford / hravard educated ministers at the helm)...so the best bet is to leave the country cause the country is not meant for "us"......let the residue dye a natural death of mediocrity"

I use the following poor joke to taunt some of my friends... "Every time one uses an extra tissue paper to wipe already-clean hands, one of his descendents would need to use hand ont time too soon to clean themselves in W.C."

you are right indeed but there are ways to overcome this existential agony; inculcation of values at a very early stage in a person's life is very vital; humanitarian values lasts for a life time
