Smitha Nair is a special correspondent with CNN-IBN's Political Bureau and a prime-time anchor. She tracks the communist/Left parties in India. Smitha anchors India 360
, a show that looks beyond the headlines, dealing with issues that range from socio-political to civic to terror to popular culture. A graduate in Economics/Commerce and a post-graduate diploma in journalism, Smitha was a CNN journalism fellow in the year 2009. She loves books, sport and cinema (not necessarily in that order). She's currently flitting between Steve Colls- the Bin Ladens, Hunter Thompson's Fear and Loathing on the campaign trail and 'Call me Ted' (will update later). If she wasn't a journalist-she says she would have been a constitutional lawyer/a filmmaker/a tennis star... all of which to quote her "is wishful thinking".
