The recent socio-political turmoil in Kerala is a farce. The ruling left front introduced a revised Social Science textbook for class 7 which includes a chapter titled, Jeevan the casteless, son of inter-religious parents seeking admission in school. It is true that the children of inter-religious parents need recognition in society but does being of no caste propagate the idea of secularism and religious tolerance.
