New Delhi: Arrested on the charges of spot-fixing, Rajasthan Royals' player Ajit Chandila may have been involved in fixing in the last edition of the IPL as well, sources told CNN-IBN on Friday.
Chandila, along with team-mates Sreesanth and Ankeet Chavan, was arrested by Delhi Police on Thursday and the trio is currently being interrogated by the Special Cell of Delhi Police.
The claim that Chandila may have spot-fixed earlier as well emerged during a dispute between the bookies and Chandila when he forgot to show the sign after the first match. The audio analysis done by the Special Cell has Chandila alluding to "did you have a problem last year".
Police says now that they [Chandila, Sreesanth and Chavan] are in custody, this angle will be probed too. Sources have indicated that Chandila would promise bookies to get more players involved in spot-fixing.
