    Day 2 round-up: Hashim Amla led South Africa's recovery to 98 for 3 in reply to Sri Lanka posting 421 on day two of the second cricket Test on Friday.

    Mahela Jayawardene was run out for 165 on his home ground at Sinhalese Sports Club, hastening a Sri Lanka collapse from 385 for 5.

    Sri Lanka removed both South Africa openers within nine overs, but captain Amla held firm to reach stumps on 46 not out off 134 balls, with AB de Villiers on 11. South Africa trailed by 323 runs on the first innings.
