A tri-nation ODI series between India, SL and Pak may replace or curtail India\'s trouble-hit tour of SA, \'Cricinfo\' reported.
New Delhi: A tri-nation ODI series between India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan may replace India's jeopardised tour of South Africa, Cricinfo reported on Friday. India are scheduled to tour SA later this year but the trip is under a cloud due to difference between the two boards.
Officials from the three subcontinent nations are scheduled to meet in Chennai on Saturday during Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting, where details of the proposal may be discussed, Cricinfo reported.
Interestingly, the ACC meeting takes place just two days before Cricket South Africa's chief executive Haroon Lorgat and BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel meet in Dubai to resolve their differences. If given a go-ahead, the tri-nation series will replace the bilateral limited-over series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka and either terminate or severely reduce India's tour of South Africa, which is scheduled for Nov-Dec this year.
BCCI - miffed with CSA at the appointment of Lorgat - had objected to the tour itinerary released by CSA, saying that the South African board didn't consult them before making it official.
