Chris Cairns\' libel suit against deposed IPL commissioner Lalit Modi will be heard in the High Court at London.
Wellington: Former New Zealand cricket allrounder Chris Cairns' libel suit against deposed Indian Premier League commissioner Lalit Modi will be heard in the High Court at London from March 5, New Zealand media reports.
The Sunday Star-Times newspaper said Cairns will be represented by leading barrister Andrew Caldecott and the case will be heard by Justice Sir David Eady who presided over high-profile libel and privacy actions involving world motorsport boss Max Mosley and golfer Tiger Woods.
The case centers on a Twitter posting by Modi in early 2010 which alleged Cairns had been barred from the IPL due "his past record in match-fixing." The Star-Times said the case would last 10 days.
