Jaipur: A husband and wife detained in Bikaner in connection with the Samjhauta Express blasts are being interrogated in Jaipur and the man resembles one of the sketches of two suspects released by investigators, a senior police official said on Thursday.
Director General of Police A S Gill said the duo were detained on Wednesday night at Bikaner and were being interrogated.
Detailed interrogation would be done by security agencies and Haryana police, which is investigating the case, he told PTI.
PROBE ON: Five persons were detained on Wednesday night for questioning in connection with the blast.
Though he identified the woman as Soro, Gill refused to divulge the identity of the man whom he said resembled one of the sketches of suspects who got down from the train before the blasts at Deewana on Sunday night killing 68 people.
The man hails from Mumbai, he said. The duo were detained at Naya Sahar locality of Bikaner following a raid by the Army and Rajasthan police.
Five persons were detained on Wednesday night for questioning in a coordinated raid by security forces in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and old Delhi in connection with the blast.
