Five zones will compete in the tournament and the final will be played at the Chidambaram Stadium from Oct. 21-25.
Mumbai: The Duleep Trophy inter-zonal championship would be held in South Zone from October 6 to 25 with the final scheduled at Chennai, as per the cricket board's official website.
The season is to commence with the Irani Cup clash between last year's Ranji Trophy winners Rajasthan and the Rest of India at Jaipur from September 21-25.
The three-team NKP Salve Challenger Series of one-day matches - featuring India `A', India `B' and last year's national 50-over champions Bengal - is to be held at Rajkot from September 29.
Ranji Trophy would commence on November 2 with all the teams divided into three groups in the league format, the board said.
The knock out stage is to begin on January 6 leading to the five-day final scheduled from January 26.
