Ganguly announced his ODI and Test XIs on the TV Channel Headlines Today. The list also has no place for the the legendary spin quartet of EAS Prasanna, BS Chandrasekhar, S Venkatraghavan and Bishan Singh Bedi. The left-hander has included himself in both ODIs and Tests.
VVS Laxman, who scored the famous 281-run knock against Australia in 2001 under Ganguly's captaincy, finds himself as the 12th man in the former skipper's Test team.
Recently, Kapil Dev had also put out his best ODI team with MS Dhoni as captain. Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja are also a part of Ganguly's ODI XI, which also features 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil.
Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh are included in both the elevens chose by Ganguly. Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Zaheer Khan, Javagal Srinath, Dhoni and Virender Sehwag are the other Indian players to be named Ganguly's both Test and ODI elevens.
