Melbourne: India huffed and puffed to a two-wicket win against Australia AIS in their third league game of the Emerging Players Tournament to book a place in the final of the 40-over leg.
Jaydev Unadkat's dream spell of four wickets for eight runs restricted AIS to just 127 runs. However, Indian batting almost caved in but for a sensible 32 by Cheteshwar Pujara and 23 not out by Manish Pandey in the end.
Though the Indian openers Abhinav Mukund (27) and Shikhar Dhawan (20) began well, quick wickets pegged India back to 95/5, when Manish Pandey buckled down to overhaul the meager target with two wickets to spare.
India will play South Africa in the final on August 20, 2010.
