    Laxman drops Clarke

In the 86th over, Ishant Sharma induced a Clarke\'s edge but was dropped by Laxman at second slip.

Having taken the new ball in the 86th over of the day, Ishant Sharma should have finally had Michael Clarke's wicket. Once again he pitched the ball wide, once again Clarke threw his bat at it, and once again the outer edge was produced.

However, VVS Laxman at second slip dropped the catch. He lunged to his right with one hand but failed to hold on, and the result was four runs. Not only did Laxman spill the catch, but he conceded a boundary. Ishant could no nothing but look on in frustration and then walk back to his mark. Laxman wore a baffled look, unsure of where to turn.

    It summed up India’s day.
