Sena protests SRK overture to Pak in IPL

Shiv Sena has warned the film star for his gesture towards Pakistan cricketers.

Mumbai: Shiv Sena has warned film star Shah Rukh Khan for his gesture towards Pakistan cricketers and has made clear that they will protest screening his films in the state.

Sena leader Sanjay Raut said on Friday that his party cadres will protest screening of the Shah Rukh Khan-starred Hindi movie 'My Name Is Khan' and will target the posters of the film in the state.

"We will not tolerate anybody praising Pakistanis. Balasaheb has already given insrtuctions on the issue. You will see what Shiv Sena will do in the coming days," said Raut told CNN-IBN.

Shah Rukh did not approve of the way none of the 11 Pakistan cricketers were bid for the third season of the cash-awash Indian Premier League.

Khan had said that Pakistani cricketers should be allowed to participate in IPL and has made clear his desire to have a couple of them in his team Kolkata Knight Riders.

Shiv Sena says Shah Rukh's overture towards Pakistanis is highly objectionable and will not be tolerated.
