New Delhi: According to reports in the Indian media, Team Hyderabad - acquired recently by Sun TV - have shown interest in the services of former India captain Sourav Ganguly even though he has made himself unavailable for IPL 6.
Ganguly's name did not feature in the Sahara Pune Warriors' squad list submitted by all the IPL franchises on Thursday. Meanwhile, the list submitted by Team Hyderabad included 20 players of the erstwhile Deccan Chargers.
But Ganguly has given a hint that he hasn't ruled himself out totally. When asked by reporters that if he would be interested to play the IPL in case a franchise comes forward, he said, "Let's see, let's see what happens. We will cross that bridge when we get there."
Apparently Ganguly has been seen practising at the Eden Gardens during the last few days despite announcing his unavailability for IPL 6.
News is also rife that Sun TV has also shown interest to rope in former India coach John Wright to help build their team for the upcoming season. Incidentally both Ganguly and Wright were at the helm of Indian cricket as captain and coach respectively before 2005.
