Going into lunch on day three, Brendon McCullum scored a gritty fifty as he, along with BJ Watling, compiled an 80-run stand for the 6th wicket putting up a stern resistance.
Steven Finn took the wicket of Brendon McCullum to end a very stubborn 100-run stand between McCullum and Watling.
The New Zealand captain edged an outside off delivery straight to Jonathan Trott at first slip off the bowling of Steven Finn. McCullum scored 69 off 94 deliveries
Stuart Broad ended BJ Watlings defiant innings at 60 with Broad picking his fourth wicket of the innings. Watling lasted 139 balls hitting nine boundaries.
Stuart Broad picked up his seventh five-wicket haul finishing with figures of 6 for 51 as England enforced the follow-on. New Zealand were all out for 254 in their first innings.
