New Delhi: At least 100 people have been reported killed in landslides in Bangladesh.

Heavy rains triggered landslides that buried hillside homes in the port town of Chittagong.

Official figures say 70 people were admitted to hospitals while nearly 100 more are missing.

Rescue operations are on but flash floods and inundated roads are hampering the efforts.

About 8.5 inches of rain fell in just three hours on Monday due to which many schools and businesses were forced to close for the day.
