EMC3 Just a possibility...The servant was murdered when someone close to him tried to access the house and he refused. The sound was heard by the child and came over to see the commotion when she was also murdered.

Basu If our police department don’t have common sense of searching the entire premises, they should be sent to “Fanchavi Pass Show”…now a days even a small kid use to apply his/she mind and thought behind each and every happening. So can we say we should check IQ level of police personal and mention it on batch so that nobody will question if they do same mistake in future. Retraining is really required. :|

Ispita Police in India is pathetic, it is strange they didn't even get the whole premises scanned after the murder. I mean it is just common sense and will needed to nab the culprit. It seems the work of an insider, so just methodical investigation is needed to nab the wrong-doer.
Lack of work and no will to work sometimes robs us of the ability to function efficiently, are people in the police department listening.

RCS I think the police forces all over India need intensive retraining. They are still following the investigative techniques taught once upon a time during the British Raj era. They should realise they are operating in independent India and should adopt modern and people friendly techniques.

more sudhir It is really sad that a 9 yr girl gets killed in the safety of her own home. Latest is that the same weapon was used to kill both- the girl and the servant Hemraj. One possibility is that the parents could be suspects-specially if they thought something was going on between the two and to avoid the family shame they committed this heinous crime. Although it is hard to fathom a parent killing their own child, and these are educated professionals-dentists. Anyway I sincerely hope there is another plausible explanation. May Arushi's soul rest in peace and her killers severely punished.

Prashant The police apathy is not surprising when they have point blank blamed the housemaid instead to proper investigation leave aside finding out his body. Media has its own share as they are all in a hurry to get to the end without going deeper into the investigation giving away misleading information to public causing unnecessary negative perception. Maturity and patience from all associated sectors would always help in getting the right information. Hurried news is bad news.

S. Sharma Award for Rs 20,000/- for Hemraj's finding.
Hemraj's Body found on the terrace of the same house which the police did not bother to visit.
I think our UP police needs retraining.
