The list is flawed, esp in the case of Indians ..
Omission of the illustrious & powerful intellectuals like Manmohan Singh, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Karunanidhi, Dr Anbumani, Amitabh Bachchan, Bal Thackeray, Advani Ji, Narendra Modi, Comrade Karat--appears to be deliberate mischief ! All these gentlmen meet the criteria -- intellctuals & in the Public Eye (rather storm!) ..

This news item is several hours old. How come no Indian politician has demanded that at least 30% of the 7 named intellectuals should be from the minorities, BC, OBC, SC, ST, or women from these privileged classes?
