Mumbai: Want to, but can't kick the butt? Here’s some help available, a click away. Smokers wanting to call it quits can now log on to www.champsclub.in, launched by Pfizer Limited, to get tips on how to stay smoke-free.
The pharmaceutical major also launched a toll-free helpline 1800 4 190190 to address smokers’ queries.
The helpline can be reached from all mobile and landline numbers between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm everyday.
Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Dr Chandrashekhar Potkar, Director, Medical and Regulatory Affairs, Pfizer India, said, “One of the many reasons that smokers find it difficult to quit is because of a lack of a constant support system. The Champs Club will help the smoker understand the seriousness of nicotine addiction and hand-hold him/her through the quitting process.”
