New Delhi: In some reassuring news the Gokul Chat Bhandar in Hyderabad that was the target of a terrorists attack in August has reopened for business.

Twenty- nine people were killed in a blast at the famous eatery on the August 25.

Gokul Chat is technically the first site of the twin blasts to reopen to the public. Lumbini Park, where 13 peopled died in a second blast, is open. But its Laserium, where the bomb actually exploded, is still closed.

The six owners of the famous chaat bhandaar met the city police commissioner in September seeking permission to reopen the shop.

But the police commissioner asked them to wait till after the Ganesh immersion. Finally, the city police gave them permission 10 days back for it’s reopening.

In the meantime, the owners of Gokul Chat had the shop repaired and repainted. For a foolproof security four CCTVs and a metal detector door have been installed.

Now, Hyderabadis who have showed extraordinary resilience in putting behind that ghastly night can look forward to enjoying the mouth watering hot chat varieties again.
