Kolkata: Organisers of the Kolkata Book Fair will now be holding an alternate book fair between March 1 and 10 at the city's Salt Lake Stadium.

It is not known yet how many publishers will be participating in the fair. This move comes a week after the Calcutta High Court ruled that second largest book fair in the world could not be held at the Park Circus maidan due to environmental reasons.

The organisers had then scrapped the book fair. Last year too, the organisers ran into trouble with the High Court on the venue.
