Barabanki: The district administration on Monday booked Amitabh Bachchan for not paying proper stamp duties for the land purchased to open a girls college named after his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Bachchan and also issued notice to him for the same.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sriram Dubey said Mr Bachchan had purchased two-acres of land in Daulatpur village here against Rs 8,37,000, instead of Rs 8,43,695, which was the price of the land
The star had been booked for paying less stamp duty under section 42 A-3 of Indian Stamp Duty and issued notice for the same.
On July 13, 2007, Mr Bachchan had purchased two-acres of land in Daulatpur village of Barabanki district. Recently, the Bachchan family had come to the village to lay the foundation stone for the Aishwarya Bachchan's girl’s college.
